About this deal

The GO:PIANO uses more samples for each sound, a luxury it can afford due to the lower total sound count. This results in a more realistic sound. This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is between the individual consumer or business entity that will use the Software (“You”) and Roland Corporation (“Roland”). I wished this was included on the 61-key version, but in terms of feature crossover, a Piano+Strings combination preset is included on the 61-key GO:PIANO, so you’re not really missing out.

Interestingly, you can also use the GO:PIANO as a Bluetooth speaker. I’m not sure how useful this actually is considering the questionable speaker quality, but the option exists if you need it. The GO:PIANO88 does take advantage of its larger size, and includes a superior dual 10W speaker setup. As you’d expect, these speakers are a lot better and let the excellent sounds shine through. I didn’t get to test this out, but videos online show that it’s fairly well designed. The educational side of the app seems particularly promising, especially if you’re a visual learner. If you’ve used PDAs around the early 2000s, you’ll know how these buttons feel like. If you’ve never heard of PDAs, well, let’s just say that they have a reputation of being unresponsive. The Electric Pianos are also great. You get nice sounding reed and tine piano presets, as well as some beautiful FM-based synths, including Roland’s classic D50.

Keyboard Number of Keys 88 keys (Box-shape Keys with velocity) Touch Sensitivity Key Touch: 3 types, fixed touch Sound Generator Maximum Polyphony 128 voices Tones Piano: 1 tone There’s only a little difference between the material construction of the 61-key and 88-key versions of the Roland GO Piano. The 88-key variant features a red felt cloth behind its keys. While the cloth does not serve any performance-related purpose, it adds a “premium” look to the piano. Roland knows that accompaniment features are a must for many beginners, and they’ve included this functionality through their Piano Partner 2 app, which also doubles as a recording and educational tool. you can play simultaneously without having samples cut off. That means either of the GO-61P and GO-88P allows you to play up to 128 notes simultaneously. In reality, you can’t play up to that number. Hence, there’s very little chance you’ll ever run out of notes. Presets and effects

Withoptional battery power, built-in speakers,a lightweight designand compatibility with your iOS tablet or smartphone apps - Roland'sGO:Piano 61is the ultimate tool for learning piano anywhere. You may wonder how it is possible to have 32, 64, or even 128 notes playing simultaneously, if there are only 88 keys and we never play them all at once. Many of us learned piano when younger and quit. Ensure returning to the piano as an adult is more enjoyable and rewarding. The terms of this Section are agreed allocations of risk constituting part of the consideration for Roland’s licensing of Software to You and will apply even if there is a failure of the essential purpose of any limited remedy, and regardless of whether a party has been advised of the possibility of the liabilities. Limitation Period. Except as stated in this Section, all claims must be made within the period specified by applicable law. If the law allows the parties to specify a shorter period for bringing claims, or the law does not provide a time at all, then claims must be made within 18 months after the cause of action accrues. The speakers are functional if you limit yourself to reasonable volume levels. At higher volume levels, the harsher frequencies are more pronounced. For home-based practice, these speakers are more than workable. Where the GO:Piano 61 differs from the GO:Keys 61, is the dynamic range in the internal sounds and 128 Note polyphony. The GO:Piano 61 has fewer sounds, as Roland has utilised the internal memory to provide more expressive and delicate dynamics. This means that beginner piano players can get used to playing with different dynamics that are essential to playing the piano. Pair with a Roland DP-2 Damper Pedal (sold separately) to benefit from the built-in Damper Resonance to have the most “piano-like” experience possible at this price point. Full-size Piano Keys are an essential part of learning the key techniques when playing piano. Cheaper, budget keyboards often utilise 'springy' synth-style keys that feel completely different to a proper Grand Piano. Whilst remaining lightweight and perfectly portable, Go:Piano emulates the feel and response of a real piano keybed. Learn Faster with Bluetooth ConnectivityIf you’re thinking of getting one of these for a child or teenager to start out on, let’s just say that the Bluetooth features are a big selling point To be fair, I didn’t observe any bending during play, even when forcefully playing fortissimo, so the GO:PIANO should survive a bit of abuse.

I’ve been guilty of this in the past, but I found myself procrastinating when I should have been practicing because of the fun accompaniment features and beats on budget arranger keyboards.Evaluation Software. This EULA does not license use of Software for evaluation purposes (“Evaluation Software”) except to the extent these terms may be invoked by the separate license terms and conditions accompanying that Evaluation Software. Pianists who find fully weighted keys challenging to play can also find a friendly tool in the Roland GO Piano. Sound quality Roland Go features simple onboard speakers with imperfect sounding but enough for beginners to practice with While it won’t compare to good headphones or amplifiers, it is serviceable, and can even get you through some smaller gigs. To be fair, the loss of the screen isn’t a massive deal. We’re getting ahead of ourselves, but the GO:PIANO88 does not need a sound name preview because there are only 4 sounds. For comparison, the 61-key variant has 40 sounds.
