About this deal

These include the twin arm Mk 26 Guided Missile Launching System and late model Mk 10 GMLS twin arm launchers. Anyway, expect this expression to be great served simply over ice with a good wedge of lime, and it should pair brilliantly with all those classic rum mixers we know and love.

strong>Palate: Cinnamon and vibrant lime sit up front, bolstered by further flashes of orange, peppercorn, cola cubes and allspice. Most other US Navy and allied navy destroyers, destroyer escorts, frigates, and several different classes of cruisers only carried the one ASROC "matchbox" MK 112 launcher with eight ASROC missiles (although later in service, some of those missiles could be replaced by the Harpoon anti-ship missile). The initial citrus twist of orange peel gives way to a warm wash of caramel, nutmeg and a delicate smattering of cinnamon. This is a multi-faceted and complex spirit, but don't be fooled – it's a secret weapon (sorry, sorry) when it comes to summertime Tiki cocktails. The name comes from an ancient seafaring tale, where there was once a formidable sailor who encountered a fierce mythological sea monster, which defeated it comprehensively. Depth Charge Spiced Rum packs a big, powerful flavour profile, having been made with a fantastic base of Caribbean rum, a selection of tasty spices and generous helpings of lime and mandarin at its core.

Whilst we love our whisky, we also have a passion for spirits of all shapes and sizes from around the world. Depth Charge Spiced Rum is made with a base of Caribbean rum, spices and citrus notes from lime and mandarin. A Scottish, Caribbean-style rum might sound at odds with itself, but Glasgow’s Candleriggs Quarter has a long, historic association with sugar refinement, so the leap from palm-fringed Barbadian sands to the Clydeside docks is not so vast. The MK 16 Launching Group also had configurations that supported RGM-84 Harpoon (onboard Knox-class destroyer escorts (frigates)) or a variation of the Tartar missile in limited distribution. This system was phased out in the 1990s and replaced with the RUM-139 Vertical Launch ASROC, or "VLA". This rum is named after an ancient maritime legend about a fearsome sailor who battled and bested a powerful mythological sea monster. The first large group of ships to receive ASROC were 78 Gearing-class destroyers, modified under the Fleet Rehabilitation and Modernization Mark I program (FRAM I) in the early 1960s.
