Figure was originally in a scrapped project where it would rarely spawn as a white, pale zombie, run towards the player on all fours, then kill the player if they touched it. Before the Hotel+ update, the Figure could also emit a bioluminescent light or other types of illumination out of its mouth when emitting sounds. Sophia is passionate about reading, which also fuels her creative writing such as poetry and short stories. This sound would be later reused in the 2023 April Fools Event as Figure's death sound when killed by a Holy Hand Grenade. However, the creature was not exclusively drawn by blood; for example, both Joyce and Will Byers were attacked by the beast despite the absence of blood.
