About this deal

Fitted with extra-long 3.5m power cable and fused 12V DC power plug to help you reach all around the vehicle Editing each value also isn’t that intuitive; there’s no obvious button to edit them, and when you go into ‘Tyre Setup’, it seems as though the app isn’t registering your presses. This is by design though. However, it completed our 22psi - 32psi test in comfortably under two minutes (around 1 minute and 50 seconds), meaning that it doesn’t make inflating your tyres into too much more of a chore than it already is.

Please note this is a bare tool so doesn't include a battery or charger but is compatible with all batteries and chargers across the 18V ONE+ system. Many new cars come equipped with their own tyre inflators, which is a surefire sign it's worth getting one. Add air until you’ve reached the correct pressure, detach the inflator, and replace the valve caps. How do under inflated-tyres affect your vehicle?Extra long 70cm air hose with easy access storage compartment specifically designed to reduce kinks It comes with a range of accessories, including adaptors for bicycle tyres, balls and other inflatables, and even a set of plastic gloves for keeping your hands clean. There are also some spare valve dust caps and a spare fuse. These are all useful, thoughtful additions, though it would be nice if there was a compartment somewhere within the device in which to keep them. When you have all your vehicles set up with the correct pressures, the app is terrific. It makes keeping on top of your tyre pressures super easy. It’s going to be my go-to tyre inflator from now on. I’ve used it to top up car and motorbike pressures and once to seat a stubborn tubeless tyre on a mountain bike. I like the screw-on fittings and long hose but generally think a digital gauge is easier to use than an analogue one. It’s a hefty bit of kit, but super speedy and surprisingly quiet. While there are plenty out there, one of the best is Halfords' rechargeable inflator, which features a max pressure of 120psi as well as an auto cut-off function.

I was gifted this automatic tyre inflator from RING Automotive– a company specializing in this type of product – in exchange for publishing an honest review. So here are my thoughts about it. The Ring RTC1000 Tyre Inflator is a 12V digital rapid pre-set air compressor from Ring Automotive. The inflator comes in a storage bag (always useful!) but also contains some protective gloves, which are ideal for protecting you from the dirt on your wheels and valves. It has a large digital display that shows the current pressure reading and your target pressure, plus a status indicator across the middle. It’s a Bluetooth enabled tyre inflator, which links to the RING Connect app, available for Android and iOS. Thus making it the Ring Smart Tyre Inflator.Additionally, it comes with an LED light complete with three modes, so you can use it to warn ongoing traffic if you are in an emergency situation. Under the base, there is a well-designed cord storage area that prevents too many kinks from occurring, as well as a handy area to store the included nozzles and adaptors. There is a button on the front for the light that is located on the right-hand side of the unit, and a small indent for you to put your valve cap for safekeeping while inflating your tyre. You feel as if, when you turn it on, it'll measure the amount of radiation in the atmosphere, not air pressure.
