It's also worth noting that apart from a few design flourishes, this is exactly the same phone as the Redmi Note 10 5G, also from Xiaomi. We don't pretend to fully understand Xiaomi's business and marketing strategies, but if you prefer the stylings of that particular handset and the current pricing suits, that's perhaps worth thinking about as an alternative to this.

The POCO M3 Pro is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 700 platform, and it lowers the barrier to entry for 5G. The phone has global 5G bands and dual-SIM 5G, and if you're thinking of switching to a 5G phone on a budget, this is a great option. With MIUI 12, there are also some visual treats under storage settings with a tall cylinder in multicoloured discs telling you what exactly is taking up your storage space. System-wide sliders including calls, alarm, media, and others have also gained fluid animations. There is also an option to switch to the new Control centre which is inspired by iOS.
