About this deal

In short : slightly synthetic salty boozy citrus, somehow reminding me of fresh sweat (but not offensive as in body odor) At the beginning it smells very intense fruity / somewhat fresh. The freshness passes while the fragrance is set, the freshness remains throughout the duration. But now the big BUT. The longevity will not satisfy many people's claim though. After 2 hours, the scent fizzles out with me quasi and is only directly on the skin easily smellable. Milestone opens with the same beautiful, salted watermelon accord that made the vintage batches of Millesime Imperial so special. It’s a refined, smooth, and natural-smelling opening that I can’t get enough of.

Once you’ve tried Creed Millesime, there’s a good chance you’ll fall in love and be able to justify splashing out on a full-sized bottle. At least, that’s what happened to me. One of the few gripes I had with the original Creed cologne is it just doesn’t last particularly long – so most of the scents on this list have been chosen with improved longevity in mind. Sure, it has a masculine tilt, but there is greater emphasis placed on floral inflections of marigold, and it feels more exotic than deep. The bottle has been "modernized". Too bad, the bottle indicated here looks nicer than the one I own. The new one fits well in the hand and still doesn't look bad. Since I'm interested in the fragrance anyway, it's not really important. Whether the fragrance has been reformulated. Probably, as can be read here. I can't confirm that, since I don't know him for so long This is a beautiful fragrance on its own that shares similarities with Creed's Millisimme Imperial and Bond No. 9's Wall Street. However I actually prefer this one to both. Sean John Unforgivable opens with a mix of to my nose tangerine, ocean water, and salted watermelon. It reminds me of the seaside and the ocean and is very reminiscent of Millisimme Imperial. I wasn't so fond of the opening when I first tried this, but it has definitely grown on me overtime. On the drydown, it gets sweeter thanks to an alcoholic sweet rum note that only appears then and is not in the opening. In my opinion the drydown is even better than the opening, especially on summer days. Sillage is moderate while longevity is on the stronger side. Overall it smells masculine, dark, mysterious, and does not smell like your average aquatic. The vibe I get from this is summer nights at the beach. It has grown on me to become one of my favourite scents of all time.

While Unforgivable is an approachable and versatile scent, the boozy quality in the base makes it best as a night scent, to my nose. In May 2010, Sean John made a distribution agreement with Macy's department store in which Macy's and Macys.com would be the sole distributor of Sean John sportswear at the retail and online level. [8] As part of this agreement, Sean John and Macy's expanded the Sean John brand's distribution to many more Macy's stores and entered into exclusive marketing partnerships with the NBA. [9] To give you an idea of the quality, Sean John hired David Appel to produce Unforgivable. He’s the guy who worked on a number of Creed imitations with Bond No. 9, so it’s no surprise they’ve been able to pull it off here again. As such, it clings a little closer to the skin, but you only have to use a very small amount to achieve the same power.

The most faithful alternative to the current blend. Will pass a blind test - which is amazing for the price Covert, James (May 5, 2010). "Macy's and Sean John ink exclusive distribution deal". New York Post. Sean John is a privately held fashion lifestyle company created by music mogul Sean Combs. The line made its fashion debut with a men's sportswear collection for the spring 1998 season. This does remind me of Millesime Imperial, but the quality is not nearly as good and longevity is unfortunately very fleeting.Dodes, Rachel (October 22, 2008). "Liz Claiborne to Sell Enyce to Sean John". Wall Street Journal . Retrieved June 3, 2013. Projection and sillage are very weak on me though, very soft, and after two hours it's a skin scent and after three hours it's completely gone… What You Should Know Before Buying a Creed Millesime Imperial Alternative Which Creed Imperial Millesime Alternative Lasts Longest? EDIT: Ended up getting a decant of Millesime Imperial and now that I can compare them right up close it's no contest. MI is so much smoother and more natural smelling. Both have bad longevity, but now that I've smelled MI I no longer have any desire to wear Unforgivable. Switching from positive to neutral.
