About this deal

Starring: Shia LaBeouf , Megan Fox , Josh Duhamel , Tyrese Gibson , Rachael Taylor , Anthony Anderson Bottom line, 'Transformers' gives Michael Bay the chance to do two things. One, it allows him to rebound from the box office fiasco that was 'The Island' with a guaranteed mega-hit. And two, it gives him the perfect material for his fast-cut, smash-a-minute sensibilities -- what better story for a filmmaker like Bay than a movie about a boy, his robot, and a legion of merchandising tie-ins hell-bent on destroying the world while they destroy each other? Finally, rounding out the documentary material is "Inside the Allspark" (17 minutes), which goes into even more minute detail on the various CGI elements -- animatics, renderings, surface texture, light sources, etc. I wished for a bit more of a genuine wrap-up to the whole doc here, but this one certainly tells you just about everything you need to know about creating a CGI robot. Despite its enduring status as a longtime favorite among Transformers fans, the continuation of the zeitgeist-grabbing animated series bombed at the box office after getting lost in the shuffle during a crowded summer of 1986, while it even gained a level of infamy for upsetting younger viewers after Hasbro’s demands for a full product refresh saw the filmmakers mercilessly slaughter the majority of the most popular characters, including Optimus Prime. elements but certainly in support, adding a critical layer for action movement and stage immersion into any given scene, action notably but also in

explosions, and the footsteps of the alien machine, including its digitized, frightening "voice," all character, scouting the location for the scene, creating the practical special effects as seen in the From Director Michael Bay and Executive Producer Steven Spielberg comes “the best ‘Transformers’ yet.”* Our world’s greatest hero becomes our fiercest enemy when Optimus Prime launches a mission to save Cybertron by destroying Earth. Now Bumblebee and Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) must lead the Autobots against their former ally in the ultimate battle to save mankind from annihilation.

Appropriately, it's HDR which largely distinguishes Dark of The Moon. Marking a partial shift to digital photography, this film was also the first to be shot in 3D, using James Cameron's 3D Fusion camera rigs. Consequently, the visual effects become even more complex; the 4K rendition of Driller providing the standout sequences. I realize I'm in the minority, but it is only when the film's big third act commences that I personally begin to lose interest. It is here that Bay's love of military might takes over, as our nation's finest swoop in to try to prevent Cybertron's civil war from being staged on Earth. Of course, there's no stopping the inevitable, and so we have a nearly 30-minute extended action sequence where all manner of Los Angeles buildings are demolished as a parade of giant robots march down the streets and beat the crap out of each other.

saturation -- make this a quality step forward in the sound department. Overhead channels engage regularly, not always with discrete, distinct sound Still Gallery: "Concepts" (HD, 2 minutes) - A pithy montage of stills, this was the only section of the supplements that left me underwhelmed. With all of its various robots, a movie like 'Transformers' really cries out for extensive concept art and various renderings, not just a few meager pics. crystal-clear resolution, razor-sharp edges, a clarity to die for, and still more fine, natural detail.heart-stopping audio, and a wealth of bonus material, the disc never disappoints. For all the title Bay-baiting has become something of a sport when it comes to the clanking titan that is the Transformers franchise, but for all its faults the series is nothing if not visually audacious. Transformers hasn't just pushed the VFX envelope, it's nuked it clean into orbit. And here, in remastered 4K form, the often astonishing work of ILM and assorted visual effects shops is given a spectacular platform to impress. Audio: The audio on the first three films has enjoyed an Atmos makeover on these Ultra HD discs, which dramatically increases the scope of the soundfield. The Atmos uplift isn't quite so pronounced on Dark of the Moon, which was the first Transformers outing to be released theatrically in Dolby 7.1. The Last Knight is the ultimate Atmos system stretcher. The score, by Steve Jablonsky, hits all the right cues, while the multifarious conflicts are exhaustingly colossal. Next, we have "Autobots Roll Out" (20 minutes) and "Decepticons Strike" (14 minutes). We learn here that 'Transformers' forced new advancements in the art of CGI rendering -- apparently the multitude of working parts of the robots and the need to create photo-realistic textures proved to be an incredibly complex undertaking. textures of the old sports car's interior, and perhaps most impressively the accumulated dust and grime on the old yellow Beetle parked next to it
