The charging base is the common Olight MCC, which can charge at 1A, 1.5A, or 2A. As I said above, this cell can be charged in a regular bay charger too!
As well as the active thermal management system that reduces the output when the temperature gets too hot, the Warrior 3S also features a nifty proximity sensor that will automatically reduce the output if the head of the torch becomes too close to an object when it is setting 3 or higher so that the heat expelled from the torch doesn't cause any damage. If the obstruction is there for longer that 60 seconds then the light will turn off. The sensor can also be deactivated during use with caution, however turning off the light will reset this. The proximity sensor received an update. The main difference is that it is only activated during the first 2 seconds of power on. So if you use it for more than a couple seconds, the proximity doesn’t reduce the output. Firmware / UI Additional info: High mode will provide 800 lumens for about 2 hours forty-five minutes then 250 lumens for 39 minutes.But when I look into the barrel of the Warrior Mini 3, I notice a well-known LED, namely a Luminus SFT40. It sits inside a TIR optic, which is not protected by a glass lens. For some this is not a problem, but for some it is. I can easily tell, because the lens/optic is not flat. And glass protection lenses are always flat. I have never seen a glass lens that isn’t flat. This flashlight is powered by a 21700 lithium-ion battery, which are batteries that are also used in ELECTRIC CARS! Beam Distance: This light has a far reach. Its throw is 300 meters (984 feet) and feels extremely concentrated and accurate. I caught a glimpse of a fox about 250 meters (820 feet) up the trail from me, which was neat! Main Features The main one is located on the side of the torch and is slightly raised, making it easy to locate, even in low light. The 21700 battery included is an Olight ORB-217C50, Lithium-Ion battery with a capacity of 5000mAh and arrived with 3.7Volts. This has a lot more capacity than a regular 18650 battery, but it’s only slightly larger. Keep in mind that you can still use these batteries in normal flashlights, as long as it doesn’t touch the negative metal ring around the positive terminal!

The maximum capacity for 18650 batteries is currently still around 3500-3600mAh. So the 21700’s 5000mAh is a significant increase in capacity. The Warrior 3 is durable. It’s built like a lightweight tank. I wouldn’t be surprised if it survived a nuclear explosion.
