The second spring that IKEA uses is the micro spring, which has recently started to appear in mattress showrooms and retailers. We’re not a fan of micro springs, as there’s been a move to start using them to hyperinflate the spring counts in mattresses. This is not the case for IKEA, who typically use them as a secondary comfort layer and to increase loft in their one-sided mattresses. People often wonder if IKEA mattresses are any good, and the mass options of innovative homeware sold by IKEA doesn’t lessen mattress quality. IKEA, like other ‘mattress in a box’ companies, are offering to roll their mattresses for delivery. You will often find this with one-sided and entry-level mattresses for two reasons. The first reason is that the entry-level models only contain a fraction of the upholstery layers of mid to high-end models, meaning their contents can be crushed and squashed together far easier.A couple of panellists found the mattress took some getting used to and it wasn’t firm enough for everyone’s taste. There’s no removable cover either, so we’d recommend investing in a mattress protector to keep it in top condition. It arrives in a compact box, but note that it doesn’t have handles, so we’d advise opening it in the room you’re going to use it in. You don't need to rotate it, though.
