It doesn't matter in a sense that VS does not work with the device. Once you have captured the video in other software, you should be able to open and edit it in VS if that is what you want to do. Pinnacle Studio's Importer will only list and work with "Pinnacle" video capture devices (current model Dazzle + some older Dazzle and Moviebox devices sold with legacy versions of Pinnacle Studio. But Pinnacle Studio has some audio issues with capturing from the current-model Dazzle device, and I wanted to see if VideoStudio was any better...
