About this deal

We have finally announced the limited edition first printing, as well as the exclusive Barnes and Noble edition!! And they're GORGEOUS From New York Times bestselling author Adalyn Grace, Belladonna brings to life a highly romantic, gothic-infused world of wealth, desire, and betrayal. Stop worrying about society and playing its game, hoping that you'll be good enough. There is no such thing as true goodness, there is only perception.” Whoever designed this place was an odd soul. A soul, Signa decided, that had been begging for this house to be haunted. Orphaned as a baby, nineteen-year-old Signa has been raised by a string of guardians, each more interested in her wealth than her well-being—and each has met an untimely end. Her remaining relatives are the elusive Hawthornes, an eccentric family living at Thorn Grove, an estate both glittering and gloomy. Its patriarch mourns his late wife through wild parties, while his son grapples for control of the family’s waning reputation and his daughter suffers from a mysterious illness. But when their mother’s restless spirit appears claiming she was poisoned, Signa realizes that the family she depends on could be in grave danger, and enlists the help of a surly stable boy to hunt down the killer.

BLYTHE! I did not expect her to have her own POV in these books or for her to basically be a second main character with Signa and I can't say I loved it. She takes up entirely too much of the story and it felt more about her than Signa and Death and I really don't care about her. She's fine but I am not here for her, she's not why I fell in love with these books or who I want to read about but unfortunately that's what we got. I will say that she grew on me by the end and I am a little more invested now than when I started the book but I still really only care about Signa and Death. Signa: “All my life I have wanted nothing more than to be rid of you. (…) I begged, night after night, death after death, for you to leave me alone.(…)I hate you, and I hate everything you’ve done to me.” to which Death reacts the following: “Death grew larger, his anger so palpable that it suffocated the room. (…)”You no longer have a choice in this (…) I tire of these games. I know you better than you think, just as I know you will never rid yourseld of me, Little Bird. As I will never rid myself of you” So, am I awaiting with bated breath for the sequel to this trilogy? Unfortunately, no. As enticing as it may sound, it does not feel like it's Signa and Death's story any more - the two characters that really made the first book shine.OK WE’RE DONE WITH THE SEMI-DEEP ANALYSIS BECAUSE THIS WILL BE BY FAR THE MOST EMOTIONS-BASED PART OF MY REVIEW. It had been weeks since Signa had seen the reaper. Only a final breath would draw him out from hiding, and he never left empty-handed. At least, that was the way it was supposed to be. But Signa Farrow was a girl who could not die. Dangerous, suspenseful, and seductive, this sequel to the story of Signa and Death is as utterly romantic as it is perfectly deadly. Orphaned as a baby, nineteen-year-old Signa has been raised by a string of guardians, each more interested in her wealth than her wellbeing – and each has met an untimely end. Her remaining relatives are the elusive Hawthornes, an eccentric family living at Thorn Grove, an estate both glittering and gloomy.

if there had been parts written to direct me toward Signa then, sure. it would be more convincing… but it was just so clearly Blythe is was kinda insulting to be told over and over again that it was Signa. at least TRY??! at least try and weave the clues to make it look like it could be Signa rather than Death and Signa just assuming it’s her. so many instances, the story had no substance and relied on weak structuring like this to carry the story.Orphaned as a baby, nineteen-year-old Signa has been raised by a string of guardians, each one more interested in her wealth than her well-being—and each has met an untimely end. I enjoyed learning about Signa's Thorn Grove family along with her. She's really thrust right into their world of formal parties, frequent visitors and gossipers galore.

Signa and Death are still perfect!!! I love them so much and they did not disappoint except maybe for the fact that there just wasn't enough of them. She rather disliked puzzles, for she had a bad tendency to need to solve them. Life, she believed, would be much simpler if one had the answers all laid bare before them.

She’d been wrong to fear change—wrong to fear Foxglove, for it was the perfect canvas. A strange, misunderstood place she could explore to her heart’s content.”
