The models above are split into spiked (or cleated) and spikeless designs and there are pros and cons of each. Spiked golf shoes offer better grip and stability but don't sit as low to the ground as spikeless models. As this is a spikeless golf shoe, it can sometimes struggle to perform in wetter and muddier conditions (for better options for softer ground look to our best winter golf shoes guides). But when used in the summer on dryer terrain, its Pure Motion outsole gives great grip underfoot. Combine that with its BOOST midsole cushioning, and you'll feel very well supported wearing the adidas Flopshot during your round. When trying a pair on for the first time, listen for the 'whoosh' sound when you slide your feet in - that's the sound of all the air leaving the shoe to confirm it is the correct size, but do a walking test to be sure. They shouldn't pinch anywhere, nor should your feet be moving around inside.Although not fully waterproof, it is water resistant, the Ultraboost has incredible breathability, with the mesh upper giving a supreme sense of comfort when we tested out on the course. What's more, we especially liked how the Ultraboost is not pretending to be something it's not. It’s not a shoe to play your 36-hole club championships in, but it is perfect for a casual round. With a silhouette so similar to that of the sneaker, they blend into pretty much any environment. We’ve worn them to work, to the gym and then straight to the golf course. Alongside the Cole Haan ZeroGrand Overtake, True Linkswear FS-01and Air Jordan 1 Low G, they are the most versatile golf shoes we’ve ever worn. Company number: 1394141; Registered office: Media House, Peterborough Business Park, Lynch Wood, Peterborough PE2 6EA and H Bauer Publishing, Along with the looks, the shoes are crammed with technology, such as Lightstrike and Boost technology in the midsole providing an almost memory foam mattress feel on the soles of our feet. There is also a Torsion stability bar, which is prominent in a number of the golf shoes mentioned in this guide. As such, slipping the shoe out the box and right onto the course, it's clear that there is an incredible amount of comfort. Moving away from the looks and comfort, one of the main stand outs was the stability that this shoe gives you. For a spikeless model it does, in fact, get close to the performance of the best spiked golf shoes, with the TPU spikeless outsole doing a fantastic job of keeping me planted through the swing. adidas BOOST delivers incredible energy return and instant comfort with each step to keep you going. Under Armour use ‘normal’ laces throughout their range of shoes. But most brands including FootJoy, adidas, Nike, and Ecco use a system called BOA. This lets you twist a dial to tighten the specially formulated laces and can provide a better fit that doesn’t loosen when playing. While BOA often creates a more secure fit, the look and feel aren’t for everyone and BOA models tend to be more expensive.

Talking more on comfort and these shoes mimic the natural shape of the foot, accommodating all the movements and directions your feet could move or slide in as you swing a golf club and walk the golf course. One exciting thing to note in particular is that the Tour360 22 has it's cleats directly injected into the base of the shoe. That helps to provide excellent grip on the turf but also delivers a very low profile. Some of you may live in an area of the world that gets a lot of rain, making a waterproof shoe a must. Or you may be a golfer that likes to prepare for any outcome on the course and doesn’t want to be left with soggy feet from an unexpected shower. When it comes to the right fit it is also worth considering different laces. Normal laces are good for most but for some golfers, BOA laced shoes provide more convenient fastening and shouldn’t loosen during the course of a round, but are usually a tad more expensive. Another great thing about some of the shoes on this list is that they all ooze bags of style. As with the majority of adidas' products, the brand uses the best and highest quality materials to create some really premium offerings. More recently adidas are implementing new cushioning technology into their golf shoes, known as their Lightstrike technology. Akin to their much-loved Boost cushioning, Lightstrike is set to change up the midsole game on some of the shoes they'll be releasing in the coming years, adding more comfort and support to your feet.

Will started playing golf more than a decade ago at Thorney Lakes Golf Club, Cambridgeshire and is now a member at Burghley Park Golf Club in Stamford, Lincolnshire. His handicap index is 5.8, largely thanks to his scratch-standard short game. UTry ® gives you the freedom to take Golf Clubs, GPS or Rangefinders to your course and to use at your pace! Use it as much as you like so you can really know what the product will do for your game before you invest in it. Thankfully modern golf shoe design has seen many brands not just create traditional, classic-looking shoes, but also modern styles that can be used off the golf course too. Therefore it is important to think about what your shoes look like and what style suits you. Whatever you like or dislike, there is something for everyone these days. Let's talk comfort now and we really enjoyed the spring the sole delivered as we paced around the golf course but the highlight was how light they were. These are undeniable a shoe that is better built for summer conditions simply because of the spikeless soles on offer here, and we felt they were one of the best golf shoes for walking. It features adidas' Boost technology throughout the entire shoe - a technology we have become familiar with in the similarly excellent adidas Tour 360 22 and adidas Rebelcross golf shoes. As advertised by the brand, the Boost midsole gives instant comfort and the Codechaos 22 shoes took no time at all to break in.

The upper features a premium rich leather which is 100 percent waterproof and you also get a one-year waterproof warranty as well which gives good peace of mind. These are up there as some of the best waterproof golf shoes on the market, but there is more here, adidas has also incorporated recycled materials into the design to continue the brand's goal of ending plastic waste. Spikeless golf shoes offer off-course versatility. They are perfect for driving in the car to the golf course, playing a round, and then driving home again because they are usually light and comfortable, but most won't offer as much traction as a spiked shoe. This isn't 30 minutes on the range with range balls or looking out of the Pro-Shop window. You can try the product on your time, when & where you want.
