About this deal

Create deeper, richer brunette tones, and add lustrous colour to natural and colour-treated brunette hair as you cleanse. Our Midnight Brunette range is formulated with cocoa and Evening Primrose Oil; this formula restores and enriches your brunette tones, leaving your hair cleansed, silky, smooth and soft. This ground-breaking collection infuses brunette tones to blend away unwanted grey hairs into natural-looking brunette. Formulated with coffee extract and GreyBlend technology, our Defy Grey Shampoo gradually blends away first greys by infusing warm brunette tones into grey strands for a naturally-blended brunette look, effectively disguising greys. Let it sit for more toning power. To help achieve a cooler tone, let your blue or purple shampoo sit in your hair for 2-3 minutes after you suds up. If you’re experiencing extreme brassiness, you may want to leave the formula on for longer. If there’s one product every blonde needs, it’s a purple shampoo! Blonde hair goes through a lot (especially if you’ve recently bleached your hair!) and it can sometimes look yellow, dull or even brassy. Purple shampoo, or sometimes even silver shampoo, cools down the tone of your hair and neutralises the brassiness, keeping your blonde stronger for longer. Brighten your blonde while infusing a dose of much-needed hydration with our Highlight Activating Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner for dull hair. This range gently cleanses and moisturises, and leaves hair with a full spectrum of tones for highlights and balayage. The Highlight Activating For Blondes range nourishes and reactivates your highlights for smooth, soft blonde hair. Safe for colour-treated hair.

Brunette hair has more melanin than blonde strands, when it's lightened (in the salon or by the sun) the pigment is removed, resulting in a warmer or copper tone. Which may be perfect for the summer months but if copper isn't what you are going for, then a blue shampoo may be your answer. Our Violet Crush Purple Shampoo is suitable for everyday use to keep your blonde from turning brassy. This is the best purple shampoo for neutralising brassy tones without over-toning. So if you’ve never used purple shampoo before, this is a great place to start. While fair-haired folks often deal with a yellowing effect, brunettes often see an orangey hue. Blue shampoos are one way to combat this—they neutralize the coppery color by adding a cool-toned finish. Just bear in mind that "blue" is somewhat subjective. So while you'll find plenty of undeniably cobalt options, many lean toward indigo and even violet. After a month or so of shampooing, heat-styling, and sun exposure, that gorgeous color you left the salon with often begins to fade. What you’re left with are the brassy undertones. For blonde hair, those undertones will often be somewhere between yellow and oranage while for brunette hair, they will be somewhere between orange to a coppery red. Blue vs. Purple: There are lots of blue and purple shampoos on the market. And while they achieve roughly the same outcome, blue is generally intended for brunettes, and purple is for blondes. However, some blue washes lean more toward indigo (and sometimes violet) than classic blue. Boasting a blend of "blue-violet pigments," Matrix Total Results Brass Off Color Depositing Blue Shampoo contains a bit of both. In any case, you can pretty much count on a reduction in brassiness and an overall cooler-toned finish.

Made specifically for lightened brunette hair, this sulfate-free shampoo deposits blue-violet pigments to reduce brassiness and counteract unwanted warm tones. Apply blue shampoo to wet hair in the shower. Lather it around, focusing on the color-treated sections, and allow it to sit for three to five minutes. Then rinse it out and use a conditioner like you normally would. Some blue shampoos call for using gloves to avoid getting the color on your skin, but most will wash clean from your hands when you rinse your hair. Instantly bring out the best in your colour. Our Vibrant Shine Care range adds shine to all shades and styles, illuminating your hair from within. Our innovative formulas, with lightweight Rosehip Oil and Shine-Enhancing Complex, cleanse hair without weighing it down to amplify glossy shine and bring out the best in your colour. Frequency of Use: Most blue shampoos are intended to be used two or three times a week, which is the case with Not Your Mother's Triple Threat Brunette Blue Treatment Shampoo, though weekly use is often plenty. Be sure to read the directions carefully to avoid overusing it, as the blue pigments could leave your hair with a purple tint. "Sometimes purple or blue toning shampoos can over-tone and cause the hair to look dingy," adds celebrity hair colorist Guy Tang. After ringing out excess water, massage Blue Crush shampoo into damp hair. Immediately wash hands after applying. Leave on 2-3 minutes. Rinse well. For more intense results & to fight stubborn brassiness, leave shampoo on hair up to 5 minutes.
