There’s no tingling sensation from the acids. But if you want a super hydrating toner with a side of gentle exfoliation, the Watermelon Glow PHA BHA Pore Tight Toner is worth trying. There is one more thing about Glow Recipe that doesn’t sit quite right with me, and it’s that for a Korean American brand, they do very little to uplift Asian American voices and might as well not be AAPI-founded. Their most recent PR influencer trip had but one token Asian American influencer. SheaMoisture would never. If you pay attention to Glow Recipe’s marketing, you can tell that the major influencers they choose to officially work with (and actually pay) are…not Asian American. They hardly invite any AAPI creators to their big PR trips and choose to align with creators like Alix Earle and similar people instead. Lip Pop is the newest addition to the Watermelon Glow family and is infused with the same nourishing watermelon extract you know and love. We chose watermelon because it’s rich in amino acids to hydrate and soothe skin of all types. We cold-pressed watermelon seeds to extract the oil, which helps to seal in moisture (an absolute essential for lip health in particular), along with moisturizing coconut oil and jojoba esters. We also added a touch of vitamin E, known for its healing properties. You can use Watermelon Glow Lip Pop as your daily hydrating balm, but with a fun little twist.
