I am proud of myself for coming up with the idea and I’d rather live in a bubble where I’m the first one. Included with my blood bags was a syringe with a very narrow opening that holds 50 millimeters of liquid. That works out to be just under 3 ounces of punch so you’ll need to repeat this process several times to fill up a single blood bag. I found that around 5 times to be just about right so they weren’t overfilled. Reusable: each of these Blood Bags has a working tube so that you can drink from it or pour it into a cup if that is too creepy. Or, you can reuse them year after year.

You can also blend colors to achieve a green color. Obviously yellow and blue make green, so the easiest way to achieve that is blue curacao and orange juice or pineapple juice. You can adjust the color of the green by changing the ratio of ingredients. Usually more orange or yellow than blue, as it’s the stronger color. Midori– Midori is a sweet melon liqueur that is flavored with Japanese muskmelons. It has a sweet and earthy melon flavor, plus is bright green. Other flavors– you could sub the vodka for some rum, you could even add fresh lemon juice or lime juice. I’ve made fake blood in the past. A few years ago I made a fun Halloween popcorn and called it bloody bones popcorn. I realized the same mixture I used to cover the popcorn would also harden and appear like blood and dare I say flesh. Ewww, right?It works great if you are making the popcorn already but it makes a lot and it is very hot so you have to be careful. It also takes a bit more effort to wash so I wanted to come up with the easiest way to make fake blood. Red chili, left whole but pierced a few times. Skip this ingredient if you want your drink less spicy. These would also be fun for a nurse’s graduation party, as well, a True Blood or Vampire Diaries watch party, and more.
Other Fruit Juices– if you don’t have pineapple juice, you can try orange juice or apple cider. You can sub lemon juice for lime juice, too. Coconut Rum– gives some tropical flavor to the drink, and we loved it with the pineapple, lime and passion fruit flavors. So really, this drink is a Red Russian, made with just two ingredients: vodka and cherry liqueur. If you’re not a big cherry fan, you can also use strawberry schnapps.
