About this deal

With the MPC450 , Endgame Gear focused on making a professional gaming e-sports mousepad suitable for tournament use. The Endgame Gear MPC450's 45 x 40cm textile surface has excellent sliding properties and is optimized for optical sensors. Endgame Gear, a company that does not fail to surprise me each time they release a product. First, they have released XM1. One of the best mice on the market for claw grip users. Bare in mind that the company is new and has fewer employees than other known companies, they were fast to note that users were not happy with the rubberized cable, and in the next month or two, they have released a new version with one of the best paralike cables. Today, I present to you their new mousepad, MPC-450 from the MPC series.

The Endgame Gear MPC450 Cordura Mousepad is fast, durable, and it looks decent too. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for a long-term replacement for their old mousepad, or even anyone looking to get a mousepad for the first time. This “Cordura” material is supposedly used in the military, for hiking, motorsports, extreme sports, and more, so I expect that the MPC450 pad would be extremely durable for gaming. Time will tell, but it does feel very durable. Design This method involves using the hairdryer to heat up the glue underneath the mouse feet. Once the glue has been heated long enough, use a spudger (a flat plastic tool with a sharp end) or a knife to scrape underneath the feet to peel them off — be careful if using a knife! With a little preparation and some simple steps, you can enjoy better control and performance like the pros. With the MPC450 Gaming Mousepad STEALTH EDITION, Endgame Gear focused on making a professional gaming e-sports mousepad suitable for tournament use. The Endgame Gear MPC450's 45 x 40cm textile surface has excellent sliding properties and is optimized for optical sensors. The very first thing that stood out for me in the mousepad is the logo and the label. In my opinion, and bear in mind that this does not affect the performance, I would love the logo and the text to be smaller. Nowadays, a lot of people want to crate their dream set ups, and the biggest issue that I am seeing is that the logo is not minimal, but even more so, the logo itself is yellow which may get in the way of some setups. Now, I understand that this is branding of the company and they are not likely to change it, but I wanted to throw in my two cents. The other issue that I have noticed was the label that is on the inside of the mousepad, not the outside or wrapped around. I did not have any issue with the label getting in the way of gameplay so far (only been able to test the pad for the last 4 days) but I would imagine that it might cause some issues in the future. One company that did their label really well + adding their logo to that label was Razer and its new Gigantus V2 lineup. The claim that it’s water repellent really holds true as well. Just to test I spilled a bunch of my precious water on the pad and it stayed on there long enough for me to grab my camera, take photos, and upload them. Afterwards I just gently dipped the spill with an absorbent cloth and the pad was about as dry as my lawn after weeks of zero rain. I personally don’t need my pads to be water resistant since I keep my drinks away from my keyboard and mouse space but I’m just saying that all this talk about Cordura being a reliable and low-maintenance fabric doesn’t come out of thin air.

Having the right mousepad can be crucial for consistent gameplay and make a huge difference to your performance which can be especially important in fast-paced games where split-second decisions can make all the difference. Endgame Gear keep surprising me. Their XM1 is a mouse that I quite often recommend to people looking for a claw grip mouse, and I suspect that I’ll find myself recommending this pad quite often too. As is the case with every product it won’t be for everyone: if you desire control or don’t like a very fast pad then this absolutely isn’t for you. There’s a surprising amount of ‘micro control’ for a mousepad this fast but it’s still nowhere near what you expect out of a more controlling surface.

Pro Lists

Adding from the point above, do not break in newly-installed skates or use a new mouse using this pad. I've played with the OOX for a few hours - which has really scratchy skates out of the box, the pad slowed down tremendously because of it. MPC series comes in three different sizes. L (MPC-450), XL (MPC-890) and Extended (MPC-1200). I was sent the MPC-450. As you would expect, given that most mousepads today offer 450x400 variant, this was no different. As a low/medium sensitivity player (800 DPI - 1.6 sens in CS, 5.33 sens in OW, 0.503 sens in Valorant), I was extremely happy with the size, given that I am 34cm/360. I never had the issue of going over the vertical or horizontal space. I can also say that cordura fabric is not that very durable as people put them out to be, I can just scratch the fabric with my nail and when I look at the fabric close-up it's broken up. This also explains the inconsistent slowing down of my pad during my entire use with it. Now I don’t know about you but I am usually not gaming in the great outdoors so why would anyone want to make a mousepad out of this? The answer to that question is pretty simple: this pad is dirt- and water repellent and, simply put, is meant to last for years and years and then some, so there’s no need to worry about it degrading on you the minute you’ve had one too many sweaty gaming sessions. That’s not a dig at this pad, though. This is a speed pad and it’s a great one at that. From the surprisingly smooth feeling but super heavy duty (when it comes to spills and tears) surface to the impressive firmness of the foam underneath: this is a high quality fast mousepad with a very interesting surface. It’s not for me (I prefer control) but if you’ve got a need for speed this should be on your list without any doubt.

I’ll start of by answering a question that’s probably on a lot of minds right now: what exactly is Cordura? Well, Cordura is a specific type of fabric usually made out of nylon (though there are many variations) that’s mainly used for military and outdoor usage due to its resistance to tearing, scuffing, and so on. So as you can see on the pic above, a slow white spot formed where I usually move my arm and mouse around. My polyester arm sleeve - even though very smooth to the touch, is likely the main culprit for this wearing down on the middle. This effect is less noticeable on hybrid pads I've owned like the hien, ac+. I'd advise to only wear sleeves when you are absolutely limited with your arm, or when you use hardpads; or if you really want to wear a sleeve, I'd suggest going for that PTFE gaming sleeve thing. The water resistance in particular comes in handy here too. Let’s face it, there’s a good chance you’ll spill some tea or water on the pad at some point. Just rub it with a cloth and you’re good as new! Cost Performance in this area followed a similar pattern to what I’ve already mentioned in the speed section. Lighter mice felt nicer and faster than the heavier ones, but they all worked pretty well on the pad. The deep blue color is pretty nice, and I’m a fan of the stitched sides too. Running my fingers across the material, it’s easy to tell that this is built to last. Stitched Edges: Provides several benefits, including preventing fraying and ensuring durability, which can significantly extend the life of the pad. They also improve the overall appearance of the pad, giving it a more professional and polished look. Fast forward to today, and I have to say it's slowed down so much to the point where I don't want to use it anymore. After washing it for about 4 times since I've had it, waves/bumps started to form and made it feel like an inconsistent mess. I am also really delicate with how I handle my pads, so it's not a me issue. Even a broken-in scratched up helios feels better than this.
