About this deal

This is the second event related to the Transformers Universe and the first in the Paramount movie saga directed by Michael Bay. Released in 2012 in Taiwan in conjunction with a toy fair. The USB hub is almost 4 times larger than normal Kreons, while the other 5 figures are almost 2 times larger.

a b "Comic-Con: Hasbro Announces Dungeons & Dragons KRE-O Sets". ComingSoon. 16 July 2013. Archived from the original on 19 July 2013 . Retrieved 17 July 2013. KRE-O is a line of construction toys (similar to Lego and Mega Bloks) manufactured by South Korea–based Oxford and marketed by Hasbro. Kre-O was released in stores in Fall 2011. [1] [2] The name Kre-O comes from the Latin word creo, which means "I create". Optimus led the Autobots in a giant battle against the Decepticons. Bumblebee got blown to pieces during the fight, prompting Optimus to promise he would avenge him... despite Bumblebee insisting he was okay. After taking out his fare share of Decepticons, Optimus noticed the audience. He took a break from the fighting to recap the feature film adventures of the Transformers, and introduced the Dinobots. Then the fighting started all over again when a pizza was delivered to the battlefield. Take Us to the Movies Take Us Through the Movies Another polybag with buildable Optimus Prime with larger hands and legs on a Kreon sized torso. This figure was given out at Toys"R"Us Canada during build-a-figure event while Asian countries saw a very limited retail release. This section is a trivia section. Please relocate any relevant information into other sections of the article.Another jump-over from the Battleship series into Transformers are the arms used by the alien Kreons. So far, this piece has only appeared in the Custom Kreon sets as bonus parts. The wrist/cuff connector has been overhauled, making it a normal hollowed-stud that is easier to use with standard pieces. It also snugly fits both the standard Kreon wrist-accessories and the normal accessory posts. Pity it's all weird techy-organicy-looking and longer than a normal Kreon arm, limiting its usefulness somewhat. Kreon Warriors Replacing Micro-Changers (see below) as the Kre-O line's blind-bagged assortment, Kreon Warriors features popular characters reimagined as historical warriors. Unlike their predecessors, the Kreon Warriors do not have vehicle modes. Their G1-y-ness is variable, with some versions owing a bit more to their Prime or live-action film series iterations in the facial feature department. The LEGO company has since released sets that are explicitly marketed as being able to assemble as robots and various vehicles and aircraft, very similar to the Transformers Kre-O concept. In 2022, long after Kre-O was discontinued, LEGO announced a collaboration with Hasbro, 10302 Optimus Prime. Kreons are miniature figures roughly 1¾ inches tall. They follow the nominal parts list of the industry standard, the LEGO Minifigure: head, torso, left & right arms, hands, waist, left & right legs. The head has a single hollowed top-stud to add a helmet/hat/hairpiece to. However, the Kreons feature some very key design differences from the Minifigure, many of which really come into play with the Micro-Changer series (see below).

Small images of a Kre-O Transformers set featuring a big mechanical scorpion and another set featuring a buildable Soundwave were shown at Toy Fair 2012 during the slide presentation, as part of the demonstration of the "build a big energon weapon from parts of the different sets" concept. Neither were present in the showroom or mentioned in the press materials. This same slide was shown during a presentation at BotCon 2012, again with no explicit mention of the mechanical scorpion or Soundwave. After four years, the line finally releases buildable Transformers figures that transform "traditionally" rather than needing to be taken apart and rebuilt. How successful they are at this... varies. The figures are mostly based on their "Generation 1" forms, with some concessions to more modern media. Kre-O Dungeons & Dragons is the sixth Kre-O line, released in January 2014. It is based on the popular role-playing game series of the same name. [9] [10] The waist connection now uses a "peg-in-post" method, with a hollow stud-width post on the waist, and a thin post inside the torso that slides inside. This makes the joined parts much stronger, seemingly in response to the extra weight of the larger Battle Changer builds (see below), but also means you can mount accessories on the waist-post, which can probably be useful in some manner. Speaking of errors, the instruction manuals (he has two) both have errors in their parts listings, showing numerous pieces in the wrong colors or not making it clear that some parts are, well, clear. Making things more confusing, not all of these miscolors are reflected in the step-by-step instructions, while a couple new ones are added there.Only available at Universal Studios gift shops, this set features four unique Kreons based on the in-park "costumes" and ride-exclusive character Evac. This set, like the one above, was only available in the US through closeout chains like Ross and TJ Maxx in 2015. Robots in Disguise This series is based heavily on "vehicle" play, with non-transforming rigs loosely based on their pilots' alternate modes, though each one does have some sort of "action feature". Kreons: Bumblebee, Evac (pre-2020 releases), Megatron, Optimus Prime, N.E.S.T. Sentry (2020 release) A BotCon 2014 six-figure set commemorating 20 years of BotCon exclusives with Kreons of past exclusives. This time they're also Micro-Changers, with generally more parts and paint than most retail Micro-Changers.

This is the last event that was created by the user Games, and by the official Roblox Administrators altogether. Most of these sets were also made available in Japan as part of the initial Kre-O roll-out by TakaraTomy. The line launched in the US on June 6th, 2011. Since then, Kre-O has expanded into a multi-property brand, with sets based on other Hasbro franchises including G.I. Joe, Battleship, and Dungeons & Dragons, as well as the licensed properties Star Trek and Cityville Invasion. In 2020, this set was re-made again, this time replacing Evac with a different figure representing a NEST Sentry.

All of these changes make the new-style Kreons almost totally incompatible with the prior four years' Kreon parts. You can swap heads freely, you can put a new lower body onto an older-style Kreon's torso, but not the other way around, and that's about it as far as cross-compatibility goes. On the other hand, the relative scarcity of 2015 Kre-O product, especially in the US, means this might not be an issue for most fans in the first place. All but the smallest sets included “Kreons”, articulated minifigures of drivers or Transformers characters. The Transformer Kreons were very Generation 1 inspired, making them popular with fans. Larger sets included accessories or even mini-vehicles for use by Kreons. Kinney, Jim (18 July 2013). "Hasbro introduces new KRE-O construction toys at Comic-Con in San Diego". The Republican . For the 2015 line and beyond, the Kreon body was extensively retooled; only the head seems to have gone unaltered. Much of the tooling is not immediately noticeable and done for structural stability, but the end result is a major changeup: The soles of the feet now feature a deeper post-hole inside, rather than the shallow trench in the prior build. This makes it a lot easier to plug accessories into the feet (a feature not used often in Transformers kits, but one the later China-only Armor Hero Captor sets would use to interesting effect). The problem of items clipped to the biceps having loose, floppy connections has been eliminated completely, if not taken to juuuust a hair too tight a grip. Optimus Prime was grateful to First Aid for retrieving Metroplex's transformation cog, but also confused that he was treating the injuries of his enemies, the Combaticons. Bad at Fighting? Rescue Team Protectobots, Dispatch! At one point, Optimus Prime defeated Megatron in battle only to be approached by Airachnid, who buttered him up and offered to join the Autobots. Embarrassed by her intimate advance, Optimus was too distracted to notice Megatron recovering and ended up blasted in the behind. The Beautiful Flower Has Thorns? Temptation of the Female Soldier, Airachnid! Joined by two lookalikes, " ML Convoy" and " EXILE Convoy", he later helped Jazz out in a musical battle with Soundwave. Soundwave's Trap? Stop Operation Brainwash Humanity!Kreon Hound was among the upcoming items revealed at BotCon 2011, but the Kreon shown was ultimately never released. (Bagged samples of the original have since made their way to the secondary market.) Hound would not properly appear in Kreon form until midway through 2014 as a Custom Kreon with different deco. Amusingly, the original Hound helmet has become one of the most ubiquitous among the Kreons thanks to its very generic styling.
