This is still very pleasant, but no longer overwhelming for me. But there is still enough from the beginning to enjoy the fragrance for the next few hours. And there are many of them...

Uniqueness: 8/10. There are a few fragrances that feature very strong patchouli notes, that is one of them. One of the best executed patchoulis on the market: strong, balsamic, resinous and with a cozy, ambery vanilla drydown that will cuddle you for hours, after the initial patchouli resin blast. Many of the great vetivers like Sycomore, or Vetiver Extraordinare, smooth out the raw beauty of vetiver, and add to much other stuff, that take away from what purest vetiver lovers crave.

It's a mature scent, sophisticated but it's non sweet,gourmand undertone give it a modern twist too.it's quality is touchable and it's also seductive I disagree because Psychadelique 1. does not remind me of any pastry, sweets, environment to associate with those. 2. it is totally wearable for day to day whereas gourmand class perfumes tend to be more for novelty wear (think: Dolce Passione, Sorriso, Italica). The sweetness of the Amber (resins, styrax, waxes), and vanilla probably reminds people of gourmands. In fact there is one particular facet that I wish was more prominent, which is present in both Reminiscence and Coromandel, the chocolatey earthy patchouli facets, dark chocolate/cacao in the former, a more powdery white chocolate in the latter with some rum like facets. Instead what I get here is more of a toffee/salted caramel feel right when the patchouli molds with the underlying amber, which feels very benzoin dominant, which also does smell kind of caramel like on its own. One fragrance blogger on Kafkaesque, really slams this fragrance as harsh, linear, skreechy. He says it has too much pepper, but there isn't any pepper in it ? He recommends Sycomore as a better alternative for a smoky vetiver. Sycomore is smoother, and unisex, but also is very linear. I had a bottle of Sycomore, and sold it, because it got borring. This is more interesting and enjoyable because of the Java vetiver and patch combo. It's nuanced with the Haitian vetiver, which is greener and fresher than the Java vetiver. Seasons: Any. The earthy tones make this fragrance very versatile. Although not necessarily a fresh fragrance, Psychedelique could be worn at any time of the year.

Not a date fragrance, but I used it on a date and got a compliment (a 23 year old female, complimenting this... it really surprised me). I have enough great balsamic fragrances for Winter, so I proberbly will not be purchasing it. But I know it's a lot of people's #1 patchouli fragrance. I can see why, it's very warm and pleasant Patchouli, with a bit of the ruff edges smoothed over. It opens up with citruses that lasts just a few seconds, then immediately comes up the leathery accord of labdanum mixed with deep, earthy, dark chocolatey patchouli. After 10 minutes, the amber and vanilla comes up and balances out the deepness and darkness of the patchouli. Smells manly and mature. Strictly for fall and winter use. A bit daring for people not used to dark fragrances like me. Appreciated it more on the third testing and is slowly becoming into my consideration of buying a full bottle. B. So please stop asking further whys and enjoy the ride.Among the perfumes that I tested from Jovoy Paris brand , this perfume was more in line with my taste because it had a better smell and its distribution and durability, although it is relatively strong , so that this perfume can be used daily with a few puffs . each time it is used , it has a sharp and bitter herbal scent - woody and slightly spicy , the most common scent in this perfume is aromatic and slightly spicy scents , most of which are made from a combination of vetiver - a little citrus , patchouli and nutmeg . By nature, the geranium is already a bit harsh, but it has a strong autumnal aroma. The proud roses, after their acquaintance with the first frost, hurl heavy, noble scents generously into this dark melange: nothing should be wasted, all remaining strength is put into these last flowering hours: the enchanting aroma of dying beauty! If you love French Lover like I do from Frederic Malle, where green and earth take centre stage with class, refinement and sophistication, then this is your jam. answered already. It’s been an interesting journey exploring patchouli as a note in perfumery, and I love what it can bring to a perfume’s structure, though it can be too earthy for me when its the star. That being said, something like this would be excellent for layering with other fragrances to add a darker element to them. Available Sizes Dislike Rating: 6/10. The same strong patchouli note will be unpleasant to those that dislike strong green and earthy tones, or fragrances that feel classic or old-school.When I compare it to two other perfumes with rhubarb arm-to-arm-to-arm (yes, I'm a hindu god), this one wins. Compared to Hermes' Eau de Rhubarbe Eclarate, this one places the rhubarb note in a much wider context, it's richer, less sweet, while Hermes' is much simplier and designed to please a much wider audience. However, the rhubarb note is prominent in both and is very pleasing. In 21 Conduit St. it's put in a bit more dry and sour company, it's not a rhubarb candy, like the Hermes. And it's a little more interesting and mysterious, and building mystery is what I'm wearing a perfume for. The lavender is innoticeable, it's just there to create a context, it's masterfully blended with the rest of the notes. Oh, it's just gorgeous (snaps a handheld fan). C. If you can’t get over the why, or you don’t dream at all, go get yourself an Aventus or Chanel N5 L’Eau.
