Though until then, the most important thing in his life was his family, this younger girl who’s seeking his help suddenly earns a place in his mind. On the other hand, Rowan is forced to deviate from her plans when she meets the attractive mobster. He doesn’t hide much, and is even brutally honest about what he wants. They’re like bulldozers in each other’s life. I liked this one even more than the first. Once I started, this was an easy book to get into. I was instantly pulled into it from chapter one when Rowan and Keir met under the most interesting circumstances. I began appreciating Rowan’s character and her determination to get to the bottom of the truth after discovering something in her boyfriend’s house that she shouldn’t have. When informing her father of it, who didn’t want to believe her, she searched out Keir to get his help on this. The story starts with the heroine is living in a bad home with her father after her mom’s accident that killed her. Her father treats her so badly because he knows the heroine knows why her father killed her mother who is his current wife at the time. Her father is a mafia boss and in a mafia organization also with her mother’s family. The heroine was depressed and most of the time scared since her mother passing away six months ago… And the hero was offer to marry the heroine. And that’s when the hero tries to save the heroine’s life of becoming his wife… But it wasn’t a easy journey for them…. This will sound so stupid but when you read it and discover what the “ivy” means. It’s just so cute 🦋🥹🦋

Overall, Silent Vows had potential, but there were too many issues with the characters, romance, and plot for me to enjoy it. I really wanted to love this story, but unfortunately, it wasn't it for me. Mafia isn’t a huge part of this novella. There’s nothing even remotely dangerous or violent here, besides talks of the past and current events that don’t seem to have any effect on them. The scene where he brings his friend to initiate a threesome with Pippa was almost going to ruin this book for me but I'm glad it never happened. Pippa wants to experience life and others, so Bishop wants her to experience everything she desires but he want to be with her during them, so he gets his friend to show up and proposition her but thankfully she does not want it and finally reveals she wants him and her reasons for lying before. Noemi has been purposefully silent since the death of her mother 6 months ago. She is threatened daily by her father and she fears for the life of her young brother who is fully under her father's spell. She has no dreams or hopes for a pleasant future and just tries to stay out of her father's way. When the mandate to marry an Irish rival comes about, she fears like she will go from one prison to another. This may appear to be a case of mismatched people, or an advantage taken by one, but I assure it isn’t. Oh, no. I mean, fine. Yeah. An advantage is taken. But not the way you’d think. Keir and Rowan have an intriguing first encounter, a completely unsettling second (for both of them), and then the third? Yeah, that one seals the deal. She’s his. And he’s not letting her go.
