The concept of Heaven is abstract and difficult to describe in terms humans on the physical plane can understand. It refers to the higher planes where everything is energy. Souls that are learning about their lives on Earth go to Paradise to study life after death. When souls finally learn all the life lessons required they no longer need to reincarnate on Earth and can merge with the pure energy of the Creator in Heaven – the ultimate goal. S: (Sadly) I couldn't swim. The dark just closed in on me. I felt my chest burning. And then I just came out into the light, and it didn't matter any more. Dolores has written the three volume set "Conversations With Nostradamus", the series on the translation of Nostradamus' quatrains. This series contains the translation of almost 1000 prophecies, all interpreted for the first time and have been in print since 1989. It is considered the most accurate interpretation of the prophecies ever printed. S: Of course, if they want to. They don't always want to. They want the sympathy and self-punishment and all sorts of things. People are funny. Everyone knows how to do these things if they take the time. They must find a way for themselves because they wouldn't believe it if you told them there was an easier way. They have to figure it out on their own. That's part of the lessons that get you there. The chapter entitled "Imprinting" presents a totally new concept for me. Imprinting is withdrawing information about the past life experiences of others and having this information imprinted on one's soul. The imprint would feel as though one had actually experienced the life in question. These "fake" (my appellation) past life experiences provide the person with a point of reference, something to relate to. The regressed subject states "If one were to come to this planet without the aid of imprints, we would be totally lost."

Dolores Cannon has followers, so I decided to try one of her books. The writing is poor. I don't own the book, but would like to know this: Does the text itself actually state, "... so to say," in every paragraph? Do spirits really say that? I might read another book by Cannon, but the female narrator of this book was terrible. You may see incredibly beautiful buildings, landscapes and greenery – all bathed in energy and colors that are more pure and vibrant than any on Earth – what you might call Paradise. When experiencing life after death, Paradise could be thought of as the higher astral planes of Earth, where souls go to study and learn about their physical experiences. First I must say that the subtitle of this book is a misnomer, since it comprises conversations with not one spirit but many spirits. But this is a minor issue. If life after death is assured, what do we do after our soul leaves a physical body before it reincarnates to live another life on Earth? My subjects have described a state of being where the soul is taught lessons by great masters and has access to all the information it needs to learn and grow. These schools of knowledge exist on the astral plane, which may resemble the physical plane of Earth, but is far more evolved and refined.

Reading this book helped me realize that my incarnation is a precious gift, that I need not to waste my energy on deeds that bring about more separation onto this world; among people. This book helped me start working more holistically and effectively on the specific parts of myself that are in need of healing. He was so serious, it was almost impossible for me to suppress a laugh as I answered, "Oh? That is where I begin." These are questions everybody asks. And no one is better qualified to provide reasonable answers than Dolores Cannon. During fifteen years of detailed research, this widely experienced and well-respected American past-life regression therapist has accumulated a mass of credible information about the death experience and what lies beyond. Book critiques would give it 3 to 3.5 on a 5, but for me it is impossible to be objective and rate it as any other 'book'. I have no way of knowing for sure, the veracity of dialogues presented by the writer, yet I am willing to let it convince me. Not because it makes me positively delusional or complacent about life but it makes sense to me, it just fits in, in the grander scheme of things. I wish I had read it immediately after Brian Weiss's books or Laws of Spirit World. I can't wait to read Elizabeth Kubler-Ross now! I was disappointed. If those were the only choices her mind would accept, it was obvious the woman was not as enlightened as she thought.

Dolores has written 17 books about her research in hypnosis and UFO cases. Her books are translated into over 20 languages. She founded her own publishing company, Ozark Mountain Publishing, in 1992. Articles by/about Dolores have appeared in several magazines including: "Body, Mind and Spirit"; "Magical Blend"; "Connecting Link"; "Kindred Spirit" (an England magazine); "People Magazine" (an Australian magazine); "Conscious Living Magazine" (an Australian magazine); "After Dark" (the Art Bell magazine); "The Unknown Magazine"; "The Washington Post"; and "New York Times". Also magazines and newspapers in Russia, Spain, South America, Bulgaria, Japan and Arab countries. The writing style of author is simple, easy transcript of person who is being regressed is presented by the author. The book is the collection of conversation between author and various other regressed people who gives information on other side after death. The book is dividend in many chapters like the death experience, different level of existence in the spirit world, guides and guardian angel, ghosts and poltergeists, the birth experience etc. Dozens of mispronounced words cause distraction. One that made me laugh out loud was "douche linn" for "Deutschland". The narrator's accent itself was distracting as well. Interesting facts while reading the book are: each soul have their guardian angel who helps whenever needed, suicide is major wrong doing. S: Well, from where I am here it all seems so simple. I am in control. For instance, I can understand the fear, and the way I feel now; I feel like I couldn't be touched by it. Yet there's something about the human person. When you're there, it engulfs you. I mean, it becomes part of you and it touches you and it's not so easy to stand off and be objective.

This eye-opening book explores the world beyond ours, giving us an insight into the death experience and reincarnation, guides and guardian angels, ghosts and walk-ins. It examines different levels of existence in the spirit realms; the 'Healing Chambers' for the damaged; the schools where you integrate lessons learned on Earth and where you discover the laws of the Universe; how you plan your next incarnation, the lessons to be learned and future karmic relationships before birth. Even among other regressionists who work regularly with past-life memories as therapy, I have found many who have their own fears about taking a hypnotized subject through the death experience, or venturing into the periods between lives when a person is supposedly dead. They are afraid something physical might actually happen to the living body of the subject in trance. That somehow they may be harmed by the reliving of these memories, especially if they are traumatic. After going through this experience with hundreds of subjects, I know that there are no physical problems even if the regressed personality died in a horrible way. Of course, I always take special precautions to insure that there will be no physical effects. The welfare of my subject is always my most immediate concern. I feel that my technique completely safeguards the subject. I would not attempt this type of research otherwise. One of my subjects was able to review her past life in an unconventional way. Although it's difficult to say what is conventional and what follows a set pattern when you're working in this field of regressive hypnotic research. Level or planes of spiritual development are not discrete, but continuously located over a spectrum of levels.Based on the 1978 novel by Richard Matheson, the brilliant 1998 Robin Williams/ Cuba Gooding Jnr movie "What Dreams May Come" was a wonderfully creative and imaginative expression of the place between life and death - some of Cannon's ideas seemed to overlap, raising the question: are these similar ideas by two different authors an expression of a collective awakening around the understanding of what happens between life and death? S: You must complete the cycle. You must learn all and overcome all the things of the world so you can enter into perfection and everlasting life. The evolution of the human consciousness requires wide leaps of imagination to carry the present time from the past into the future. While there were many interesting possibilities about the after life presented in this book, the authoritative way in which the 'soul interviews' were presented made me dubious. There is also no indication of how much the original interviews were edited to fit Cannon's hypotheses.

Karma what you will sow, you will reap. Importance of karma is given through the book. Many facets of life after death are described in the book, new information which I was unaware of is easily provided by the Dolores Cannon. Dolores became, perhaps, the world's most unlikely expert on the prophecies of Nostradamus. A retired Navy wife from Huntsville, AR, USA, Dolores was nearly fifty years old when she began experimenting with hypnosis and past-life regression. The results were, to say the least, quite spectacular! Dolores Cannon has decades of hard work to be appreciated and shared. Her books are very interesting and her legacy should be meticulously preserved.

The many mispronunciations of even basic words by the narrators make it difficult to enjoy this audio book. I have this book in hard copy and read the book a few years ago. I've watched Dolores Cannon on Youtube and thought this book would be interesting. First published in 1994 I did try to contextualise it to the era. Without a doubt, this is the worst book I’ve ever read. I wouldn’t have finished it if it hadn’t been a book club book. But it was, so I trudged through. The first few chapters weren’t so bad. There’s a lot of description of a fantastical spirit realm, with faeries and leprechauns as well as spirits of the forests and mountains. During the first couple of chapters I forgot that I was reading a non-fiction book. With stories of the Book of Life and the Threads of Fate I was fully prepared to read about fictional gods. S: Well, when I'm in the body it feels heavy. It pulls on me. It's just uncomfortable. But when you die it's a lifting of weight. It's relaxing. People carry all those problems around. And it's like they are carrying around a weight because they are heavy and laden with all these other things. When you die it's like tossing them out the window and it feels good. It's a transition.
