Wow factor can be described as a quality or feature of something that makes people feel great excitement or admiration. With integrated Bluetooth® technology, connect the AT-LP60-BT to your speakers, headphones or stereo receivers without the need for wires. “Increased Convenience” The turntable also offers a built-in switchable phono/line preamp that allows connection to a stereo system equipped with either a phono or line-level input.

If you want to do some scratching or practice to become a DJ, the LP120 is the one to choose. With DJ features like pitch control and a high-torque direct-drive motor the LP120 will work perfectly for both scratching and music listening. Saying that, as the turntable supports Bluetooth 5.0 aptX connectivity, the sound quality is still pretty impressive over a wireless connection. When it's in pairing mode, an LED light will rapidly flash blue and red, before settling on blue to indicate a successful connection. This is a belt driven turntable, the platter is not directly attached to the motor, it rotates with the help of a rubber belt. On direct drive turntables the platter is directly attached to the motor shaft. There are some misconceptions about the type of drive. Many people think that direct drive turntables are better than belt driven ones. This is just not true. There are many high end turntables that are belt driven. Direct drive turntables are generally made for DJing, because they have higher torque. Belt driven record players are normally designed for audiophile listening. The belt helps attenuate the noise coming from the motor into the stylus. To get such great performance from a very inexpensive player, Audio Technica have foregone basically all unnecessary features. The Audio Technica AT-LP60is the perfect record player for anyone who wants high-quality performance on a budget. In return, you give up almost all features you get with most competitors. These files have a similarly even-handed character, although in terms of quality, expectations should be closer to Spotify streams than CD-ripped files. Some people are quite taken by the retro looks of the catchy line of Crosley turntables. They do offer some potentially attractive features, principally Bluetooth connectivity. The Crosley Switch table is one such entry in this price range, and it can connect to a receiver as well as external speakers.

If you like to modify and upgrade your turntable over time, there will be a lot more options with the LP120 than with the LP60. The LP120 is a very popular “project turntable” and there are a variety of possible upgrades and modifications to consider. As well as many forums where upgrades and mods are lively discussed. You’ll find that some of the other applications are just as complicated as Audacity if not more, and you’ll have to buy them. I’m sure there are other options but this list is enough for the majority of users. If I find better options I’ll make sure to update this post. Sound Quality It does have a USB port, built-in switchable phono preamp and RCA inputs (two RCA cables included), so you can hook the unit up to an external stereo system, computer, powered speakers or any other component that does not have a dedicated turntable input. If you find the above speakers too expensive you can replace them with any type of computer speakers. Obviously the cheaper the speakers the lower the sound quality. With bluetooth connectivity, the turntable can be connected to wireless speakers or headphones without a signal cable. Which might be a neat feature. Dust cover, Felt mat, Platter (with drive belt), 45 RPM adapter, RCA audio cable (approx. 1.2 m (3.9')), USB cable (approx. 1.9 m (6.2')), AC adapter (approx. 1.5 m (4.9')) What follows is a table comparing the different variations of this fully automatic record player. Product The AT-LP60-USB will get your classic albums out of the box and into your MP3 player. Bringing quality and audio fidelity in to the mix, you’ll be able to continue listening to the classics for decades more to come.

The record player comes with two adapters that come in very handy if you want to connect your turntable to a 3.5 mm line input. Audio-Technica has, understandably and wisely, erred on the side of caution with the XBT’s sound. There’s reasonable separation to the audio image, and an even-handed approach to the frequency range – the mid-range is pushed just slightly forward but it isn’t obvious enough to skew the overall sound. This is where the LP60-XBT really starts to make a case for itself. It has everything you’d expect from an affordable turntable, alongside some features it would have been unreasonable to expect not so long ago. Like many record players, this turntable cannot produce any sounds by itself. It doesn’t have built in speakers. You need to hook it up to a sound system, amplifier, receiver or a set of powered speakers. There are many possible setups for this record player and it would be impossible for me to explain all of them. I’ll explain the basics and I’m sure you will be able to figure out the best setup for your particular needs. There aren’t any real alternatives to theAudio Technica AT-LP60. The closest are the ION Audio Max LP and the Jensen JTA-230 3.So there is a few more parts to assemble and a few more steps involved in setting up the LP120 compared to the LP60. If you are tech savvy this will be no problem. But for super non-techies, it might be wise to ask someone for help. Or choose the LP60. 11. Reverse Play Hi Francisco! My 13-year-old daughter has been looking at record players for her birthday in March and I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on these three that she is interested in. Freedom to set-up your turntable system where you want around the house, and to fully utilise the portability of your Bluetooth® turntable and speaker set for increased convenience. “Compact Design” Most records made post 1960 will however be either 33 or 45 so for regular vinyl collectors the 78 RPM function will rarely or never be used. 7. Drive / Motor

The Jensen also comes bundled with software that makes it easy to convert your vinyl record to MP3 or other digital formats via the USB port. An auxiliary input allows you to play (or convert) from cassette players, smartphones or other external devices as well. You get a lot of features for a very low price, but you sacrifice quality. Mind you, I’d expect some prospective customers will be encouraged by how compact the Audio-Technica is – its tidy dimensions make it a lot less obtrusive than some more sturdy designs. And the mild updating of its appearance over the outgoing AT-LP60BT makes it look marginally more upmarket, too.Just be aware that with this setup, you have to adjust the volume manually with the speaker’s volume knob. This may be a small inconvenient. Thanks for the kind comments. Yes the prices can vary greatly. It really depends on what you are going to use it for. There are receivers that have many features. You may want to use it for audio, video or both. Many people have their receivers connected to their TVs, Mobile players, gaming consoles, turntables and who knows what else. If you just need the receiver for your turntable, I would’t spend a fortune.
