About this deal

As a beauty editor, the question I always ask when it comes to anti-ageing products is: does it work as well as retinol? Aqua (Water), Glycerin, C12-15 alkyl benzoate, Octocrylene, Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, Polyglyceryl-6 Stearate, Aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, Dimethicone, Alcohol denat. This one’s very different because it is so effective and I really like the instant results it gives me not to mention the longer-term results I get when I continue to use it regularly. My skin did feel a bit softer after 2 weeks but by looking at it there is no difference in 2 months compared to the left side.

I’ve come across lots of reviews where people talk about how quickly it absorbs into the skin but I don’t fully agree with that to a degree. We haven’t fully road tested this range in our Good Housekeeping Institute beauty lab yet, but we will be trialling it in the next few weeks and will report back on our findings soon.Even tying my hair back for bed doesn’t work because I roll around so much in the night that all that moisture still rubs off on my pillow and my hair is still rolling around all over it. No7's unique new selling point is that they have obtained the right to make the claim in their ads - for this serum only. As for the No7 serum itself: cumulative results were shown for wrinkles only, not for age spots, sagging, or other signs of ageing.

However my face became very sowllen, dry tight burnt like itchy rough skin, with red angry rash and more small 'pimples'. After about 4 days my face has developed a itchy burning bumpy pimpley rash along my jaw line, hair line and its really bad on my cheeks. This may sound obvious – but in the UK, no anti-ageing product has ever been allowed to claim it by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA). I couldn't believe it was this highly recommended cream, so I used it one more time, and yes, it is totally the cause.

This night cream has a few important ingredients that deserve a mention but the one that stands out the most is Matrixyl 3000 Plus. I've never used anything like this before that is so quick to do everything it says it will on the box. Now there is a slight downside to that because it means that the product is heavily fragranced which could potentially be problematic for some. The company also conducted a clinical trial with 44 female volunteers in which they used the Future Renew formulation on one half of their face and just a simple SPF cream on the other.
