La Fée Parisienne was the first traditional absinthe distilled in France since the 1915 ban and is the only absinthe endorsed by the Musée de l’Absinthe, Auvers-sur-Oise, France. Before diluting it is clear, showing a striking green colour and has an attractive fresh anise aroma.

Tested and approved before bottling by Marie-Claude Delahay, founder and curator of Le Musee de l'Absinthe, Auvers-sur-Oise, France. The long connection between the Royal Navy and rum can be traced back to 1655 and Vice-Admiral William Penn's expedition to the West Indies. This allows the more delicate herbal flavours and aromas to emerge, such as fennel, coriander and hyssop, as well as the strong spicy undertones of anise. Powerful and rich with deep liquorice flavour, Star Anise is used sparingly as it is easy to overpower the more subtle herbs. Throughout the 1800 and early 1900 s absinthe was enjoyed by many and since the bans have slowly been lifting around the world is once again becoming a fashionable beverage.Absinthe became caught up in the temperance movement that was sweeping Europe, thus becoming the scapegoat for alcohol. This premium absinthe is crafted with utmost precision and expertise, ensuring an unparalleled sensory experience. Lanfray was said to be under the influence of absinthe when he shot his family, he was also known to be a wine guzzling alcoholic, who had washed down two glasses of absinthe with no less than a creme de menthe, a cognac, six glasses of wine with lunch, a glass of wine before leaving work, coffee with brandy and more wine before committing his crime.
