About this deal

I'm 4 years NC and in a really great life with a wonderful DH now but the last week's been rough (job, pet illness) and some silent tears have been shed and made me think of that childhood legacy. I was trying to get through it, but it was killing me emotionally and mentally by the viscous, horrific, deplorable acts within this book and that's only mentioning a few of the choice words that come to mind up front. We currently just try and focus on the things we know make him really happy and give small highlights / treats as we go along to give him things to focus on. Your future passes by, when your life's lost in the past, while looking for the answers to the questions that you ask. The violence and sexual abuse grew in severity as more people, including his stepfather, were invited to use him in any way they chose.

I wanted nothing more than to have him there with me, to hold my hand, and to tell me that I would be alright but with Covid 19 running ramped, I was forced to deal with this huge heartbreak by myself and silently. I had this uneasy feeling from the moment I found out that I was pregnant that I just couldn't shake.

When a freak accident saw his father burn to death in front of him, Joe was left at the mercy of his mother. These are a departure from her usual writing style, but very good, if you like fiction set in the old west.

He admits in the book that most people wouldn't believe what he had been through, because it was unbelievable. I started to wonder, could she not see what was going on or was she just grateful that this one child graced them with her presence. I also had to look like I wasn't crying so even when the tears start uncontrollably, I can stop them instantly with any slight distraction. However, none of that helped, it couldn't bring Baby D back and none of it could mend my broken heart.I stop[ped for a ew days to read How to Win Friends and Influence People to help me get by better at work, and then i received a short and sweet bookring, so read that. It is a common trait of autism (you didn't mention whether your son is on the spectum but I assume so since you are posting on this site).
