About this deal

One of the qualities of Paige's writing is that characters are interlinked throughout her books -I discovered this after falling in love with Chasing Daisy and promptly devouring her other books that I could get my hands on. Their relationship is challenged by the other driver for the team, Luis; a roguish, bad boy Brazilian with a potty mouth to rival Daisy's.

I found Will to be A sweet character, though he loved two woman I wouldn’t say he was a womanizer, he was kind and he didn’t want to hurt anyone. It was very long, and had the cadence almost resembling a tv show, in that it felt like many episodes over a two season run (honestly, it's a great premise for a prime time drama, someone needs to snatch this up). He told me he fell for me the moment I shouted at him from across the street when he almost ran me off my scooter. She has many secrets which we learn throughout the novel which helps with her character (as well as answering questions from Johnny Be Good) and makes her likeable. Chasing Daisy is a book you can’t predict, you think the story is going in one direction and it swerves taking you in a completely different direction, keeping you on the edge of your seat, needing to reading more to find out the final destination.I was not sure if I would like this book when I got it but I must say that this is my favorite British chick lit. I really liked the prologue and the first few chapters featuring Daisy and Luis; I was ready for a fun, feisty rollercoaster til they got their HEA but then the bulk of the book went on to be about Daisy's relationship with Luis' team mate, Will. I wanted to montage a bit of Will's part and have spent more time with Daisy and Luis pulling each other from the grief and finding their place together. I'm guessing that halfway through the book, his and Daisy's eyes-meet-across-a-crowded-room, hearts go pitter-patter and suddenly she doesn't know what to do. However, the narrator made this really hard to listen too as the accents she does are awful (in particular the Scottish accent).

This in turn allows Daisy's character to further develop, including the discovery of her alter ego and the past she doesn't care to think about. Brief synopsis: Daisy has left America to escape from having her heart broken – and not just by anyone, he’s famous! To be quite honest, I was in the middle of a reading slump and while I had previously found a few books to be quite proper, I was disappointed by this one. It felt like I was slowly being given less information or descriptions, and shorter sentences in general. Of course, I don't have enough concrete proof to say so, since I don't know how the story develops from there. Some of the book had me cracked out laugh but it wasn't enough to make me change my mind about the rating. I was sooo tempted to give this book 5 stars for character Luis alone but I really can’t even though I’m fairly certain he is my future book husband. It win me over in the end, but was a very familiar story line, although the F1 scene it was set in helped make it a bit different.

I rolled my eyes a lot and was even going to stop reading the book but I'm a warrior and I don't give up. Heroine was cheated on by her former Bf and she turns around and pursues (she is the aggressor) of Hero who is in a 10 yr committed relationship. You are thrown right into the glitz and glamour of the Grand Prix scene as they travel all over the world for the season. When I read the first few pages, I thought the book was funny and I was really excited to start reading it.Daisy develops a relationship with Will, a driver with the team, which is easy to sink into allowing the reader to fall for him too. She was upset at Holly for keeping her affair a secret even though she didn’t tell Holly her secret about Johnny Jefferson also? Im struggling to find anything I didnt like about this book, maybe the twist that happens in the book was a bit shocking but, they way it was written and resolved is fantastic. This time for a man who is prepared to risk his life, and his heart, for the sake of speed, danger and ultimate success.

Since the author is clearly incapable of writing an American voice, she should have kept the character British since it would have had no impact on the plot what-so-ever. Daisy, our protagonist, is and/or was heartbroken by a character in one of Paige Toon's previous books Johnny Be Good. This amount includes seller specified domestic postage charges as well as applicable international postage, dispatch, and other fees. You can guess almost from the outset what the ending is going to be but I have to say it’s a very enjoyable journey (particularly if Luis is driving).

It was obviously a book that was hard to put down, slight plot twists and actions that make you yell 'No!
