Chainsaw Man Volume 4 is created, written, and illustrated by mangaka Tatsuki Fujimoto and localized in English by VIZ Media’s Shonen Jump imprint. She's really rocking the terrifying genius lady with supernatural powers in a fancy business suit vibes. He’s constantly keeping them on their toes, giving them misdirection, and taunting them all for the sake of making them stronger. Seeing a Chainsaw Man poster nearby, the War Devil vows to make Chainsaw Man "vomit nuclear weapons back up". Together, the Horsemen sisters are known to have engaged in a particularly brutal battle in Hell against the Devil feared most by other Devils: "Chainsaw Man" (aka Pochita).From the first page to the last, the volume delivers non-stop thrills, introducing new adversaries and deepening the complexities of the characters' journey. The bad guys are getting pretty vicious as they throw everything but the kitchen sink after Denji's heart.

After facing severe casualties and crippling injuries, Denji’s team realize how outmatched they are by the gang of mysterious assassins aiming to steal the demon within Denji's heart. Shortly after, the Famine Devil (nicknaming herself "Fami") is revealed to have assumed the identity of a high school student at Fourth East, as a member of the school's Devil Hunter Club. Makima is also shaping up to be a badass character that manages to be extremely cunning and intimidating in every scene she appears in.After her attempts to starve the War Devil failed, Fami with the help of Haruka Iseumi and Barem Bridge founds the Chainsaw Man Church, which quickly grows into a powerful organization with tens of thousands of members, frequent TV appearances, and political donations. The mission is quite simple… to head out and capture all of those responsible for the assassination attempts. After being killed on a job, he is revived by his pet devil Pochita and becomes something new and dangerous-Chainsaw Man! This section of Chainsaw Man Volume 4 is fun to read, like any training montage section, but Fujimoto takes it a step further by using the training to showcase elements of who Denji and Power are as characters. With Aki barely clinging to life after using his devil contract, Denji being overpowered against the mysterious sword devil, and Power, well, she’s just run away, the future of the team is uncertain. Indeed, Fami herself eventually reveals that she intended for the Falling Devil to feed Asa and Yoru to the Justice Devil and have her sister starved in its belly so that she may become Fami's pawn, to aid in the latter's plot to prevent Nostradamus' Prophecy. The Four Horsemen are based, in name and concept, on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse ( Japanese: 黙 ( もく ) 示 ( し ) 録 ( ろく ) の 四 ( よん ) 騎 ( き ) 士 ( し ) , Mokushiroku no Yonkishi ? Death is the eldest and most powerful, [10] Fami (Famine) is the second-eldest, [4] and Yoru (War) along with Nayuta (Control) are the youngest.In this volume, the Devil Extermination Special Division 4’s remaining members are struggling to survive while the Gun Devil’s assassins aim to take Denji’s heart. War reveals that, having left Asa's brain intact, the latter's self has been preserved, causing the two to share one body, [106] and consequently names herself "Yoru" (meaning "Night" in contrast to Asa's name, which means "Morning"). While Aki takes time alone to weep at the loss of his friends, Denji begins to question his own emptiness. Makima reveals the existence of the Four Horsemen amid her fight against Chainsaw Man, describing how she, the other three Horsemen, and the Weapon Devils fought against Pochita in Hell until the battle abruptly ended, when Pochita vanished before their eyes. As Denji and his team investigate the whereabouts of the Gun Devil, they’re ambushed by a coordinated attack to take them all out.
