About this deal

And of course, with a support of apt-X, AAC, and SBC audio codecs – I was able to confirm a really good audio performance as well. Technicalities aside, I found that this headphone is actually quite pleasing to listen to, and is suitable for today's modern genre.

This is similar to the way conventional speaker drivers are designed, with greater precision being the objective. Connecting is fast and easy and there are little audible cues to let you know the current status of operation. Lower-mids have a nice body without adding extra "weight" to the sound, and upper mids have a great level of smooth clarity with excellent retrieval of details. I guess by now I established a point where these look like a million bucks, or maybe a few dollars less since I made the same comment about P7, and P5 is just a scaled down version of it So how do these sound?Today I'll be looking at the P5 Wireless on-ear headphones (from hereon known as the P5W) that boasts a 17 hour battery life and exquisite craftsmanship.

The overall level of the leakage is also decent, making these headphones perform above average in Leakage. They deliver a good, balanced sound quality, an efficient battery performance and they don't leak much. If they can make their headphones look that good, I can only imagine what they can come up with for a case. What is immediately obvious is that the P5s present a spacious concert hall right in the middle of your head. In general, on-ear fitment could be a hit or a miss, and as I mentioned before – don’t expect super isolation. Similar to P5 Series 2, clamping force was a bit tight out of the box and required a short break in period.

It helps that the sound is clean, with barely a hint of the hiss we often get with Bluetooth headphones. the imaging was not right, still a little muddy on all the frequencies, like if a veil was placed on the music. It's really a clever design which makes a cable attachment to earcup look like it has a hardwired seamless connection. The P5 is not veiled-sounding in the strictest sense but it really doesn’t portray intimacy as well as the HD25 or MS400 can, which I feel has more to do with the way the soundstage works (more on that later). With headphones out of the way, I was looking at a set of familiar P5 accessories including a quilted soft case and two sets of cables, except this time it was an audio headphone cable and usb charging cable. The P5 Wireless are well-crafted, wireless headphones with a sturdy build and a compact, easy-to-use design. The P5 Wireless deliver a balanced audio reproduction that caters well to bass and instrument-heavy music. Considering that this is still the audiophile approach, I sampled the P5 with MP3 files toward the end of my listening sessions to see if these phones made sense as an upgrade for the average listener.
