The book just ends literally in the middle of a conversation between primary male and female characters. Adrik, the leader of all the mafia gangs was going to attend this week’s meeting because, apparently, there was something more important on the day’s agenda.

I have never been an avid fan of mafia tales, except maybe the Sopranos, but I was really hooked by this book, Rise of the King, part of the Underworld Series. The sons of the mafia lords would usually lack control around Sephie and take lewd actions at her like smacking her buttocks and other sexually offensive habits. When she told him what her daily experience with them was always as far as they were there, he was out on the watch until he was able to catch and make an example out of one of the Sephie harassers. King of the Underworld is a fantasy fiction that is set in the magical realism world ruled by Adrik. King of the Underworld Adrik might be a ruler and known for his ruthless personality but with his queen he’s a man in love.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Sephie is an ordinary waitress who was saved by the King of the Underworld from a dangerous situation that involved the son of a powerful mafia boss. I understand lust at first sight and they were having visions of each other before they met but they moved into “I only want to be with you” mode without much build up and getting to know each other. It got reported and removed after being published for a week and half, now I’m banned from leaving reviews for any product.
