Show spoiler] I was spoiled about Dante's death ahead of time, but it didn't affect my enjoyment too much. For Clerks 3 is like a “best-of” his films with nods and in-jokes that longtime fans will appreciate, probably more than anything in the likes of the aforementioned Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.

Despite progressing, like Dante and Randal who now own the Quick Stop, the progression doesn’t feel as “life-changing” as I expected and now, some 16 years later, in my mid-forties, the lives and experiences of Dante and Randal hit even more close to home. Of all the Smith properties and characters, this is the one that seems to always work every time out. It may seem like more of the same at the outset, but those who stick with it will find a much more rewarding experience than they might have expected.Keep in mind that it's home video sales that made Clerks III possible in the first place, so here is your big opportunity to support Smith's work. If I thought hard, I might come up with a circa 2022 movie that less needed a Dolby Atmos soundtrack than Clerks III… but probably not. It should be noted that the audio commentary has been programmed as its own separate version, meaning that none of the other audio or subtitle options are available while listening to it.
