No need to replace netting that is worn or dirty, simply by removing the entire netting cover and replacing with a new or freshly washed one.

Most butterflies prefer to feed on nectar, but others will feed on the juices of rotting fruit or animal dung. This was a really great project- I would recommend doing your homework on the butterflies and their lifespan first- ours lived their whole 2 wks as butterflies in the netted cage because I didn’t realize they were only dormant for a short period of time.
