About this deal

The same year, the ‘beast of Blue Bell Hill’ was photographed – though apparently on the wrong side of the river. It is said that the ghosts of three women who were killed in a car accident on this road, one of whom was due to get married, still haunt it. Bob Vandepeer had a terrifying experience in 1962 when he picked up a girl on the hill – then later turned round to discover his hitchhiker had vanished into thin air.

When she didn’t arrive at her destination or the place where she worked, her mother and her employer reported her missing. There were a lot of people who didn't want me to make the film because they were worried something would happen to me.This devastating event which swept away the lives of promising young women left a bigger mark on the road than the pools of blood, at least one of these trapped spirits remains at the location of their traumatic death. You never know, you may just be one of those drivers who encounters the chilling spectre, who over the years, has become known as the Ghost of Blue Bell Hill. Both times she has terrified people with her grotesque features and the palpable sense of evil which emanates from her. Her body was discovered six years later in an area near Blue Bell Hill, with some motorists even claiming the girl has asked them to drive her to Burham Cemetery - where she is buried.

I’d been reading something about Julian Cope and his fascination/obsession with the megalithic period and stumbled across the name of the Kentish sites; west of the river Medway sit the Coldrum stones, Addington long barrow and Chestnuts long barrow. Neil is investigating a sighting in 2012 when two teenage boys, unaware of the legends, were driving home after midnight in June. In 1992, three separate motorists reported knocking down a figure that ran into their path late at night but police failed to find any evidence that an accident had occurred. A white lady, a blue lady and a smiling cavalier are just three of the many ghosts that haunt this spooky ruin.On another occasion, he witnessed the pedestrians again, walking across the road; however, a car drove straight through them this time! Here, and in numerous other modern cases, witnesses report vivid and terrifying encounters with solid-looking figures that step into the paths of their vehicles. Most of the reported sightings took place in the 1960s and 70s, but some of the last were reported in 1993. The most recent known sighting of paranormal activity on the stretch of road came on February 1, 2019 when many were convinced they saw a spirit on the A229.
