About this deal

So many unnecessary sentences, and if I had my way, quite a few characters would bite the dust, too.

Finn really was giving Freya the tools to have a new start in life but she was so down and harsh on herself I don’t think she could see fully what he was trying to do nor was she is the right place to embrace what he was offering. I absolutely LOVED all of these characters and felt that I was cozied up to the giant fireplace with the rest of the family practicing a play, doing a puzzle, or just eating some awesome foods. If you are a fan of the Christmas movies currently showing on Channel 5 in the afternoon and are on the hunt for a gentle, sweet little taster of Christmas than Debbie Macomber could well be the author for you.On the positive side she meets Finn, one of her schoolgirl crushes, who is such a gentleman he takes her under his wing and helps her through this difficult time. Something I always really enjoy is when I can tell within a few opening pages that I’ve found a book I’m going to love. O romance da Freya (a mocinha) com Finn (que ela conhece desde a infância mas reencontra ao voltar na cidade para organizar o funeral da mãe) é bem construído e muito natural. Yes, she helped Freya get a job in the pudding factory but I felt then that she abandoned her and if she had given Freya time things would have been a lot clearer and perhaps forgiveness would have arisen sooner rather than later. Everyone knows the 'Twelve days of Christmas', but not as rewritten by John Julius Norwich in this delightful correspondence, which records the daily thank-you letters from one increasingly bemused young lady to her unseen admirer.

This new book by Corinne Lapierre includes all of the instructions and patterns needed to create all 13 of her adorable and unique ’12 Days of Christmas’ felt decorations! I’m not a huge romance reader but I picked this one up because I loved the concept and the fact that it even apparently includes the recipes for each of the meals. There is also a special bonus at the end of the book to satisfy your taste buds which I absolutely adored! There are no big romance fireworks and there is no sex in this book, which quite frankly is normally enough to put me off!Whatever you do, do not take a shot every time she views food as some forbidden evil (despite having spent 10 years as a chef! Also, loved that the whole publishing team were named and credited - helps show all the work and people involved to get these books into our hands. There is a lot to like about this book, but the main character, Freya, was so preoccupied with weight, gaining weight or appearing to have gained weight that it killed the vibe for me each time it happened.

It's an excellent read and if you are looking for a festive romance with a difference this is the book for you!For something that could’ve been traumatic and depressing this book lifted me up and gave me hope and encouragement. Traditionally, the 12 Days of Christmas book features lords a-leaping and gold rings, but in this version you’ll find snowmen singing and elves up to mischief!

Jude ha persino fatto un altro paio di schizzi, anche se la luce a quel punto non era delle migliori e Lady continuava a sbocconcellargli i fogli. It’s been 10 years since Freya escaped the confines of the small village she grew up in, in favour of the bright lights and opportunities of working for a celebrity chef in Paris. I found Jude's character strong from the beginning and although the relationship is very predictable, the journey through it's progression and slight twists made a fantastic read. And honestly, given the last couple of years, hiding in the bathroom for a while sounds like a plan. Alongside singing with The Rockin’ Robin Choir and skating with polar bears, Santa builds snowmen with the elves, bakes a gingerbread house and organises a reindeer race!

The book tells the story of the young widow Holly Brown who is asked to look after a remote house in the Lancashire moors. Also, even by the halfway point, the heroine and her possible love interest had done little more than exchange insults by phone. Our 12 Days of Christmas book is one of our most personalised books ever as it stars children and grown-ups! This story took a while to get going for me but once it did I enjoyed reading about Holly with her gran's notes about a man named Ned.
