The kit is great fun to build with 1175 pieces (not including Droids and weapons) and takes about 2 1/2 hours. There is a Pilot Droid to drive and the back has the capacity to fit any of the modules with the kit. Lego continue to celebrate Star Wars' 30th Anniversary with their largest kit to date this year with the excellent Trade Federation M.

Build: 7/10, to be honest, I really thought building the MTT itself was quite boring, although the pace picks up later. Best features of the set - access to the back of the Droid Transporter (where the droids come out) the battle droids and their guns! I was also missing four pages from instruction booklet 2/2 covering steps 25-29 and 37-40, and mine was purchased new no less. It's not that fragile, IMHO, but I would have to agree with you on the playability part- you can't do anything with it. Again with the new licence agreement a lot of the larger retired ships are bound to come around again as Lego like to produce 30ish SW models a year and mix up the six films. This set was originally released in 2000 as the set 7184 Trade Federation MTT but the minifigures in this set were redesigned from previous versions. When I responded it was for our son’s birthday who is a serious Star Wars collecto r, he responded with warm birthday wishes and even added an additional small build for the birthday boy.It comes complete with a whopping 16 Battle Droids, 2 Security Battle Droids (red), 2 Pilot Droids (blue) and a vastly improved Destroyer Droid.
