This minor issue should be resolved once it's been used a couple of times, as the valves will have loosened up. Fitting to your car couldn't be much easier, simply roll out the first HandiRack and lay flat about 10cm from the top of your windscreen, open your car door and pass the strap through the car to the opposite side, close the door and go around to the other side of your car, with the door open pull the strap up and through the cam lock, ensuring that the strap passes through the large metal loop first, pull up the slack and then go back to the otherside of the car and check that the HandiRack hasn't slipped out of position, there is no bunching of the protective flaps at either end of the HandiRack and it is central across the width of the car. We managed to find plenty of branches lying around by the river get outs, much to the disappointment of the guys, who in the end only got to fell one tree. The roof of my car is covered in scratches now, as said grit can get under the tubes but seeing my boat is worth more than my car I dont worry about it. Each tube is valved and both valves must be squeezed to let the air out - hardly possible if you're using both hands to roll up that same pair of tubes.
During the course of a journey, we recommend that the pressure of each tube is rechecked (as well as the security of the load).
