About this deal

Please do give it a test run beforehand if you haven’t yet, to make sure it’s exactly what you want! I’ll be back to rave about my home made ginger beer experience as soon as my soda contraption arrives next week. so then I do 1/3 syrup and 2/3 water but then it’s not as carbonated and tastes more like a cold ginger tea.

I find that I use less of the concentrate then with soda water… and since I’m making a batch every few days, the longer it lasts, the better; and finally, I don’t peel the ginger, just wash it thoroughly with a scrub brush. Carbonated Water, Fruit Juice From Concentrate (Apple (31%), Pear (29%), Lemon), Flavourings (including Ginger), Malic Acid.

I always find straight-ahead ritas to be a little too strong – I usually add a bit of fizzy water, but ginger beer? Large-scale breweries favoured the use of yeast, as used in conventional beer-making, because of ease for scaled production. Fast forward to the day of the wedding, as soon as I walked in the room I made a beeline and it was truly the most beautiful cake I’ve ever seen. These ones aren’t, however if you are looking for the perfect travel companion to aid in travel sickness, we have just the thing! My game plan then is to incorporate a couple of bad boy hot capsicums into your delicious recipe and see what happens.

Then we add freshly squeezed lemon juice, and blend with four different types of dark and light sugars to give a complex and unique flavour. You have the option of diluting it as much or as little as you like or sweetening it as much or not at all. I cannot believe that I have not yet rated this Ginger Beer recipe the 5 stars that it so greatly deserves. Also, we eliminated the sugar completely and a tbsp of this stuff is perfect with ice and club soda. Couple of notes there’s a reason why you say to add club Soda before testing for sweetness…my mouth and throat are still tingling and I just dipped my finger in. You’re really just trying to extract as much of the ginger flavor as possible, which worked better for me with multiple strainings.

I haven’t yet tried Fever Tree (though their tonic is my favorite) but my favorite ginger beers are Barritt’s and Reed’s. I know you’ll have a million things to do around that time already (just got married myself), so I hate to suggest it but I think you’ll be happier with the flavor. The drink has turned out great regardless of the type of ginger beer but I agree that it is even better with the above brand (for whatever reason)! I originally tried to strain with a french press coffee maker, but that didn’t work too well – can’t get enough push to extract the liquid – and now my french press will probably taste like ginger for evermore.Ginger beer made from a yeast-based starter is reported to not have the same taste or mouth feel as that made with ginger beer plant.
