About this deal
it wasn’t terrible or written like it had come from wattpad, but i don’t think it was amazing either.
Love it or loathe it and for sure this is not going to be for everyone, it's a powerful piece of storytelling that gripped me instantly. and if you’re gonna “need” somebody like that, the least you can do is pick people better than them 💀. Tiernan is very quiet at first, rarely talking and when she does it is with as few words as possible. There are a few small things I didn’t like about the book, but I won’t go into them because that would be giving things away.
I was honestly a bit sad and (initially) surprised by who Tiernan chose to pursue because I found that connection the least strong out of all of them. I thought the way Tiernan just “shuts off” her strong feelings and chemistry with the two “unchosen” guys was pretty abrupt and it honestly felt a little off, since it was built up so much in the first half. she did really stupid things sometimes too which i don’t even care to get into, but she annoyed me so much.
Shipped off to boarding schools from an early age, it was still impossible to escape the loneliness and carve out a life of her own. I thought this was definitely more of a love square what with the three guys 😂 But yeah… this one surprised me in a good way! As lines begin to blur and boundaries start to get crossed, Tiernan finds herself at a crossroad where emotions are clawing at her heart and demanding to be set free. The different types of relationship in this book are so blurrily intertwined that I wasn’t sure what these characters meant to each other. I've tried to be as vague as possible as don't want to spoil but yeah good job on a distinctly different story but definitely check your triggers before reading. The entire situation they find themselves in is quite outrageous (obvs) and it was… definitely something! And the FEELS are what will drown you, devour you, subsume you from head to toe till it's white out of acute pain and miserable grief.
