Laugh, blush and overall, just have some fun with this audiobook, which is narrated by the incomparable Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon.

It was truly an easy read that flowed well and unexpectedly hit me in the feels in more ways than one. From the beginning it is easy to see the strong bond between Mac and Freya and that remaining platonic best friends is not in their future. Some of the things Mac said (and did) made my eyes roll so hard I was afraid of losing them inside my head. And please for the love of all that’s right in the world, if she refers to sex as “The sex” one more time. What happens when an almost 30-year-old virgin agrees to let her Scottish footballer best friend give her some lessons in seduction?

Its so funny reading a book with a Scottish character because I rarely find them and as a proud Scottish woman myself it's a real treat to read. Mac had been celibate from the moment he met Freya a year ago and remained celibate during their separation. Lol, where does this author think straight women learn about sex because I guarantee you they don’t learn shit from the 16 year old boy the average straight woman lost her virginity to.

Freya is Mac best friend he will do anything for her the banter between the two of them will have you LOL from the start. Mac and Freya's story is a spin-off from the Harris Brothers series, but can be read as a standalone. Honestly I adore nothing more then a foul mouthed heroine and a hero who's a glutton for punishment. After a horrendous game of Never Have I Ever, Mac knows exactly where he stands with Freya's expertise in the dating field. This is also the perfect example of why, sometimes, I hate reading romance by Western authors: where sex and intimacy and virginity is all what their characters think about.

They shared a strong bond of friendship which supported the development of their relationship without awkward moments. I didn’t enjoy the last moment of angst because the characters always have to have a fall out in the end and oh how annoying that part is. This happened over time and now they are like an old married couple, bickering and laughing as they watch Netflix on the couch. This was my first Scottish/Cornish (And Amy Daws) Romance novel and if they are all like this – I’m hooked. Well, she’s a thick girl, curves for days, and Mac is… well, he’s a handsome, big, muscular soccer (football) player who’s very experienced, unlike her.

It was so fun seeing the side characters from Amy's other series because I love a big cast of fun characters. If they have a disagreement, they don’t just run back into each other’s arms like any other romance novel – it’s a real time off involved.

Saying the mc is cool with being heavier and then having her absolutely eviscerate her appearance on long soliloquies for paragraph after paragraph. tiene una combinación perfecta de clichés, un gran desarrollo de historia, unos protagonistas fantásticos, todo me gustó, qué más puedo pedir. They spend all their free time together watching Netflix, and just hanging out, but there has never been anything more than friendship.

This blog post really spoke to me; have a read if you aren't familiar with demisexuality or the ace-spectrum. He drags them down slowly, and I’m suddenly hugely grateful that I splurged on a full Brazilian wax yesterday. At some point the author should of stopped and let her grow as a character instead of constantly mentioning her negative thoughts on how she views herself.Freya and Mac attend a gathering of their friends and with a little game of Never Have I Ever, a lot of drinking and a streak of jealousy, Mac discovers a couple of things about his Best Mate. Best friends to lovers trope is always tricky for me because I often want to shake my characters and say, "ARE YOU CRAZY? The fact that Mac convinces Freya to lose her v to him and he proceeds to take it in such a sweet, smexy, yet alpha way gave me goosebumps (the good kind lol). I understand she was working the trope "never been kissed" but it felt reductive to the plot her fattness being the only reason people didn't show interest in her.
