About this deal

All our Peggy Peg plastic screw-in pegs are produced from Fibre-glass reinforced UV-resistant polyamide. However, what I often see is people in an obviously similar disposition putting in the essential pegs (ie the ones against the van and in the front corners of the awning) and then sitting back having a rest (and often a cup of tea or something stronger), and gradually going round the rest of them one or two at a time.

These pegs include a drill accessory that fits onto your electric drill allowing you to quickly drill your tent pegs into most surfaces. We used these on a gravelled hard standing pitch, they were invaluable because there’s no way we would have been able to get ordinary pegs into the ground. Quite a few people have told me they've adopted this method and thanked me for suggesting them, so it can't just be me and my crazy way of "roughing it smoothly". Judging by the threads and discussions that are starting to creep onto the forums re screw in pegs I can foresee another 'Delta' moment, but all good advertising for those who may benefit. Some drills might have a hammer feature on them as well, but you don’t really need it unless you are planning on drilling your pegs into a concrete slab.

To Securely fasten your tent / awning / whatever into hard standing or normal ground easily in seconds. Already in our childhood, we loved to travel and the idea of exploring new campsites in many different countries. You know what its like, hammering away at the cold hard ground in even the best weather conditions doesn't quite equate to sitting in your sun chair at the start to your holiday, non-alcoholic cocktail in hand, admiring the rolling hill sides of your new home for the next week (or 2). I suffer from Asthma and find it very exhausting hammering the pegs, there are various makes on the market, are any of them any good. This week we pulled up in a gravel pit roadside rest area, and with the sun blazing down we really wanted our awning and shade screen up on our Caravan, but the ground was too tough for our awning pegs to even dint! For the effect of that, just take a look at how much that baby moves on the video, with just a tug my hand, from a foot or so away. Just took the collars off, put the next size up drill bit through the hole and had no problems since.
