I liked getting Knox’s viewpoint as he’s the head Shark, the best friend to her ex boyfriend, and the QB1 with a crumbling twin. I wasn’t sure if Knox was the one who wrote it in the beginning, or if it was the rapist, maybe Dane, or even Chance (her ex). But after all these, she decides that going back to Camden Prep, and that is where the story picks up with Knox who is the scarred quarterback who without her knowledge has been leaving letters in her locker. Both Knox and Ava have dealt with a lot in their young lives and as a result are mature beyond their years. For instance, in Knox’s chapters, it highlighted how much Knox secretly wanted Ava, and despite his hot and cold behavior towards her, little things he said or did for Ava revealed he wasn’t a bad guy like Ava had originally thought. I watch with fascination as Knox bites his lower lip, digging in deep, so hard I expect to see blood bloom there. Now, after disappearing, she is back to finish her final year of high school and show everyone who did not believe her, that she is strong.I normally HATE when couples are split up for a period of time, but it was so right for this situation. It made the story even more intriguing and added more of a suspenseful feeling to it along with everything else going on that had me captivated.
