About this deal
The pacing was wonderful -- there was no insta-love, and nothing was rushed, but I still felt that sizzling connection between them right from their first encounter. OHHH i archer you too mehhh blah blah blah and to be honest, i don't know if i should cringe or swoon- there's literally no in between.
Bree is patient and sensitive as she teaches and guides him, and Archer is most certainly a fast learner. even if he was cautious of their friendship and her intentions, she never gave up to befriend him and make him feel safe and wanted. It's like that film you've waited to come out on DVD before watching it, you know the one, all your friends saw at the cinema but you decided to wait until you could watch it in the comfort of your home only to be disappointed by all the preconceived hype. It is a lovely story, the characters are nice, the prose flowed but there was something missing to give it that little push for a four or five star review.
Someday … when we're old and gray, I'm going to look at you lying in bed beside me, just like this, and I'm going to look into your eyes and know that it's only ever been you.Someday, when we're old and gray, I'm going to look at you lying in bed beside me, just like this, and I'm going to look into your eyes and know that it's only ever been you. He told me that it isn't until you are gone from this world that people begin to mourn you and feel your absence. I loved her new friends, especially Anne, her neighbor, and how easy she was to be approached by others. its a story about two broken people, their courageous survival, the healing power of their love, and the strength in the voices they create. though, i thought she was a bit too nosy from time to time, but bish so am i so i can't really fault her for that.
