About this deal

At the front of the book, there is a ‘Demon Disclaimer’ stating the information is not all true, ‘especially the stuff Murdoc says’. numerous illustrations; inscribed by: Damon, Hewlett and Cass; pale grey pictorial d/j with black title to front and spine. It contains previously unknown secrets of the band, such as future plans of the movie, new and rare art by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett, the "low down" on Kong Studios, their headquarters, and the story of the truth behind the " El Mañana" video.

While I know most of the "real" background info on them, I much rather prefer to believe them as real people. Signed by Cass and Hewel, with the original fake library pouch~~VG/Good+ 1st ed 2006 hardback, unclipped DJ. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. If it won't get re-published (which I hope it will) with the addition of Plastic Beach story this may turn into quite the collectors artifact!Very well-preserved, light wear to jacket edges and corners a little bumped due to storage otherwise VG bright and unmarked. surface tear to lower front edge of DJ, a little surface rubbing wear and discoloration to edge and top of spine of DJ, some rubbing and light scratches to jacket, internally VG and unmarked. Gorillaz have always been as much about the visuals as they are about the music, and the autobiography will be a feast for the eyes. Rise of the Ogre is the autobiography of Gorillaz, written by Cass Browne and illustrated by Jamie Hewlett and Zombie Flesh Eaters. My only wish is that they would release the book with added info, since Plastic Beach came out afterwards. While they could have gone and made a quick small book with existing artwork, they laboured in creating a genesis of a band showcasing every little minute detail in their lives to the present. Thank you for preserving this excellent book - I have many great memories of checking this out from the library in high school over and over again and using it to piece together the lore behind a band I loved. Initially an iTunes exclusive, one part was released every week for four weeks beginning 4 December 2006.It covers the band from 2000 and their first EP, Tomorrow Comes Today through their 2006 tour ending at the Apollo Theater. It has the back stories of all the members and how they came together, and glimpses of the possible future of the band.
