About this deal

I don’t personally love reading about female characters that have no backbone or understanding of reality especially regarding the situation in the book with the groomsman. It was messy, full of self-conflicts and conflicts with one another; one wanted it all and the other didn't want to give away anything at all. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. I can’t explain what precisely caused me to keep from giving this a higher rating, but I think it had something to do with the structure of the past vs present unraveling of Ama and Elliot’s relationship and the resulting balance of the relationship dynamics. I find that they always add nuance and clarity to the story and I loved seeing their relationship develop then and now.

The way they shipped the hell out of Elliot and Ama, though they didn't know their history, it was so cute like same! Then, it goes to years later when they broke up and haven't spoken to one another but are forced to work together on a wedding. If growing up with a mother who gets married as often as hers taught her anything, that is, commitments mean nothing, marriages are imperfect but weddings are a special day, a party one would remember forever. They are confused, broken, have their own issues and have no idea what they are doing right and what they are doing wrong. I melted with how sweet and emotional he was with Ama, even though we are introduced to him as a brute who barely talks.i went into this book with zero expectations and literally on page 10 i told my best friend on facetime "this is five stars, mark my words. Jackie and Hazel, whose wedding Ama was planning, were great characters that never overshadowed the MCs.

I usually hate when the breakup reason isn't revealed until much later on, but I didn't mind it in here! I enjoyed all the thought and detail that was put into this book and as I said, the sweet moments Ama and Elliot did have together were very touching and almost made up for all of it. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. When they weren’t at odds with each other—I loved seeing them create magic with their work and be supportive of one another when it came to their dreams. They're both afraid of commitment, but they decide to confront their fears for the sake of their emotions and try again. It read like a fun, heartfelt, romantic movie (think Bride Wars, 27 Dresses, that kinda thing) and I read it in two sittings. I had a really great and the best time reading this book with you and obsessing over Elliot—his grumpiness and his tattoos. any book blurbed by sierra simone officially has my stamp of approval, because tell me why this is one the best romance books i've ever read?
