The coconut notes blend wonderfully with a sweet molasses flavour which delivers an almost dairy-like flavour, inviting and essential for the most exotic Caribbean cocktails. In Australia it's labelled spirit so I guess it has at the very least under two years of age, but more likely no age. Enjoyed by absinthe connoisseurs and dedicated spirits advocates around the world in the traditional way with sugar and water. I really like the fruitiness of this rum, coupled with the medium chilli heat it works really nicely in a Rum and Coke. Duppy Share Caribbean Rum is made using a combination of premium rums that are sourced for their provenance.

The bright blue colour is what it’s known for, alongside the surprisingly fresh taste of oranges, both the peel and flesh.It’s white rum which people so often give short shrift however this stuff has really hit a sweet spot and whoever blended it deserves a prize. Sipped The Duppy Share Duppy White Jamaican Rum is initially quite mineral like – quite spicy with a nice hit of chilli heat and a Pimento dram like note. It is a blend of Pot and Column distilled rum from undisclosed distilleries (or potentially just one distillery) from Jamaica.

Rich, indulgent flavour notes are balanced out with lighter, more chocolatey-sour ones as the younger and older rums react to each other. Absolutely suitable for sipping neat to appreciate that full-bodied flavour profile, and it'll also do wonders in all sorts of classic cocktails. The best of Jamaica combined to create an exotic blend of pink grapefruit, lime and award winning white rum. Taste is smooth, slightly sweet with again citrus tones, fresh grass, pineapple and tropical fruits. Vividly neon green with a bouquet of aromas incorporating mint, lemon blame, aniseed and of course wormwood, Grande Absente Original is made to a pre-ban absinthe recipe the flavour builds as you enjoy each sip.

I would definitely tend to mix this rather than have it simply neat, but I wouldn’t mind a shot or three.
