About this deal

I read myself sick of them a few months back, but I am so happy I chose Becoming Alpha to catapult myself back into the sub-genre. Even if the wrong guy did accidentally turn her into a shapeshifter and doom her to attending the weirdest high school ever, Tessa can’t help her growing attraction to the mysteri She was one of those effortless types of main characters that was a true breath of fresh air, because there's nothing worse than not being able to connect with the person telling you the story. After escaping a disastrous party, she gets her first kiss from Dastien, and then Dastien's wolf decides to claim her with a bite.

It seems to be going well for her, with her getting invited to a party early on in her arrival, but something happened. Apart from being a strong character, Tessa has all the qualities of a leader but first she has to accept herself. Aileen Erin is the founder and CEO of Ink Monster, building worlds filled with girl power and happily ever afters.I know it seems odd this is my main takeaway from this post (well, really, the series does sound like a lot of fun) but I couldn’t help thinking that! In the beginning she was only able to see echoes of the past that have been imprinted on the object or a person. I like that Tessa’s cousins are getting involved and look forward to seeing them developed in subsequent novels. Aileen is the author of the Aunare Chronicles, a scifi action romance series, and the wildly loved YA paranormal Alpha Girls series.

March 2022 - If you had told me I would be rereading this book almost 9 years later I would have looked at you funny and moved on.

I guess I didn’t really feel like these books were actually encouraging witchcraft in real life, any more than it was encouraging people to be werewolves. I've read 5 books from the series and can't wait to read book 6 'n' 7, it has now officially become one of my favourites book series alongside the pegasus series by Kate o'hearn.

I honestly found this book a little touch and go at the beginning; just because of how separated Tess was and felt about the people around her.Even in the beginning when they talked about her being able to see visions she didn't like to touch people or objects, but at the same time it wasn't stewed upon and dragged out at all. See, Tessa can't touch anyone or most anything - even the slightest brush - without getting visions. It's one thing to be considered a bruja, a powerful witch that can feel the memories of people based on items that were touched by them. she's a mere teenage girl with the addition of magical power, and now the ability to shift into a wolf and beat a guy with her bare hands. And not only, does she have to adjust to her new reality, she also has to deal with a vengeful coven leader and crooked Weres, creatures who are out for blood.

She lives with her family in Texas, and spends her days doing her favorite things: reading books, creating worlds, and kicking ass. Some we receive from the authors, some we receive from the publisher, and some we receive through a third party service like Net Galley.I soon realized that just reading a chapter or two every evening wasn’t going to be enough – I was completely drawn into the story, characters, and world building. But Tessa doesn’t realize that kissing the wrong guy in her new Texas town could land her in far more trouble than she ever imagined. bad vibes/energy that aren’t exactly Scriptural, but in some ways the dangers of tampering with powers you don’t understand (i. I loved that the book didn’t really end in a big cliff hanger but we still know there are many issues to be resolved and much more ahead for Tessa and Dastien.
