Of all the various villains throughout Avatar: The Last Airbender, Azula has remained a fan-favorite throughout.

However, I was looking forward to this comic since Azula is one of my favorite characters in the ATLA universe. Azula, in her spiritual journey, blames the way she is due to those around her who did not give her a fighting chance, like her mother, her domineering father, her friends. She has won two Eisner Awards, for Superhero Girl and the third Nameless City book, The Divided Earth.The small version of it has a three part body plan like an insect rather than the snakelike body it had in it's larger form.

It was originally planned to be released on September 26, 2023, but it was later delayed multiple times to an official release of October 31, 2023. By the present day Azula openly denounces Ozai as nothing more than a hollow shell of his former self, however, and in her Motive Rant even resents him for turning her into what she is. While yes, some anime filler can feel tedious, the best of it often feels like we get much deeper insights into our characters so that when the big moments DO happen, they are that much more rewarding to experience. However, one thing I must point out that as the story is only 80 pages like the previous books, this book especially leaves more to be desired. Lording her “rightful” power over Mai and Ty Lee and having no respect for Zuko’s “weakness” is not villainy, it is, once more, a flaw.Kick the Dog: Azula refusing to go back to save Chiyou and then telling Zirin to obey her is what gets the rest of the Fire Warriors to ditch her. You, little Fire Lord, were offered redemption and forgiveness, but you rejected what we had to give you. This incredible tale of survival and bravery in the face of overwhelming evil happened to a literal child. Azula shoots a blast of fire at the spirit, who leaps away, revealing that she has hands instead of legs. You weren't there to protect me from dad, so I became what he wanted--his deadly firebending weapon.
