Like not even an epilogue or anything. It was still super good. This is really me just ranting because > I < am not done with Henry and Abbi yet. Books 1 and 2 cover a span of maybe two months, in the summer, in Alaska at Wolf Hotel (with the exception of the first chapter or so that takes place 3 months before - I didn't count that). She started working there as a 21-year old innocent, one-boyfriend-her-whole-life virgin, in June and by the end of July she had had sex with the billionaire owner, a masseuse, and had a three-some with two men on the grounds crew. Seriously. I started to lose steam a little bit this one, I just can't stand Abbi's mother and ex-boyfriend. They are extremely frustrating and just refused to move on and accept where Abbi was with her life. That factor definitely overpowered most of the book, to be honest. I just wanted Henry and Abbi to be as they try to figure out their relationship was a little bit of a long distance. It's a true struggle that many relationships face and I could completely connect to that. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. There's definitely some exploration that Abbi does in this one, so don't fret, the erotic times are still very much happening ;-) if that's your thing! Some time ago, I read a bad book about a sheltered girl who has met an older man and started a relationship with him. Well, it happened here as well, only in a very good way. Abbi is a virgin from an extremely religious family. Her faith and virginity were quite important to her and she’s lived a sheltered life making her very naïve to the world. At this point I was thinking: “Oh god, not this shit again.“ While they are in Alaska, it is Henry’s birthday. Abbi decides to bake a cake in the wood stove oven at Henry’s grandparents lodge, since it is something that his grandma used to do for him when he was younger. However, while Abbi is preparing the cake, an earthquake occurs. While she, Connor, and Ronan (they were helping her set up the surprise) evacuate the building, they hear from the others that Henry was in a mine at the time of the earthquake, which collapsed.Abigail "Abbi" Mitchell is a sweet innocent farm girl who loves her family, her small time soap making hobby and her fiance, Jed. That is, until she finds him cheating with another woman. Wanting to escape her heartbreak and an overbearing mother she finds herself at a job fair applying for a position in Alaska thousands of miles away. Little does she know, the bears aren't are the only wild beasts roaming the grounds at this luxury resort. The sex scenes were LEGIT and often, they didn’t take anything away from story and in so many ways added to it. Ryan Tatum just spent the night crying her eyes out over being dumped. The last thing she needs when she wakes up is to find out her brother has rented the bedroom next to hers. Worse, it’s to one of the Outdoor crew guys from Wolf, guys who are notorious for their slutty behavior. If Ronan’s good looks are any indication, there will be a never-ending parade of random—very loud— women on the other side of her wall.
But it’s the fact that’s she chose to shit on religion and other peoples beliefs … yeah let’s not do that. Abbi's insecurities really surface in this one and that was tough for her to deal with it especially because she constantly needed that reassurance. Owner of the luxury hotel chain, Henry Wolf is cool and composed, successful with everything he touches, and undeniably beautiful. And for some reason Abbi can't fathom, he wants her—the farm girl from small town, USA with no corporate experience—as his personal assistant. Henry Wolf, CEO of Wolf Cove and future heir to the Wolf Hotel franchise, is a mercurial man with deadly business skills. Opening the seasonal Wolf Cove Hotel is the primary goal - until he watches a taped interview of Abigail Mitchell. Applying for a job with the Outdoor Crew and having little to no experience aside from life on a farm - he can see the hurt in her eyes and knows that more than anything she NEEDS this job.

Wolf Bite? Nah. More like The Sexual Awakening of Abigail Mitchell. Henry Wolf is barely in the book, I think he was absent about 30 to 40% of it? Maybe more. So if you were expecting more on plot development and Henry Wolf, I suggest you move on. #spoilersabound #sorry I went in blind. I didn’t even know the genre of the book (it’s contemporary romance), but I saw someone on social media make a post with like 25 books listed and rated each one. That person only gave out 3 five stars and this was one of the books. (Books like AOTAR and the cruel prince got 4 stars by this person so I assumed this book is going to amazing). It wasn’t. I saw this book as an ad I think? I can’t remember. Anyway the blurb I got was something like, after catching her fiancé with another women Abbi runs to Alaska and finds herself in the arms of another man, but he’s not who she thinks he is....” DUN DUN DUNNN
Abbi is a small town girl "engaged" to the preachers son who cheats on her, even though they are both supposed to wait until marriage. The author tries to portray her as an innocent god-fearing church girl, but every thought she has is about sex. Every. Single. Thought. Every single action, thought, interaction she has with another character is sexual some how. It's annoying. There was nothing else developed about this character. In the beginning there was mention of her goals and ambitions in soap making. I thought, maybe that will turn into something. Nope. Even the "problem" Henry had with an ex-employee suing him was sexual in nature. Too much and too lame.I like Henry, he is a man of very few words, very experienced, doesn't have time for drama and although an asshole at times if you ask him a straight question...he will give you a truthful answer. Was this something I normally read? - No it's not... But who cares... sometimes you have to branch out what is normal and just enjoy that 3rd slice of cake when no one is watching... No rating. I knew this would be a hot mess. I read it because I had never come across a series where the innocent virgin heroine goes Debbie Does Dallas when the slutty hero breaks up with her. 😂 Henry's last assistant accused him of rape. She's lying but they did have lots of sex. That he tells Abbi about when she is devastated to learn that she wasn't the first assistant he banged. Book 2 I struggled with because this book was pretty much a turn of events that I didn't quite see coming. It was definitely what I expected to happen when it comes to Abbi because of the relationship she had with Henry. It was all very new to her and there was a lot she needed to learn. I definitely didn't agree with her thought process when it came to her actions. So this was a book you just kind of take for what it is.
