I’ve just started this series and I’m ready for a reread. The writing, this small town, the family, the characters, the humour, the emotions… everything about it has worked for me. It was a joke! You’re out of line, and you will not speak another word to him.” Luke’s tear-stained face tells me he wasn’t in on the joke. Willa rises slowly, almost predatory in her movements, as she turns and arches a brow at the woman. “Oh, no?” Grumpy cowboys and steamy romance... Welcome to Chestnut Springs: the big-hitting, small-town series from TikTok sensation Elsie Silver.

This was a cute and funny, small town, cowboy, age-gap, single dad, nanny trope. Cade was a grumpy, responsible 38 year old rancher. Sometimes he was more asshole than grump and seemed to hate all women. Enter Willa, a 25 year old, confident, takes no shit type woman. She immediately hits it off with Cade’s adorable son Luke and now Cade must behave himself, because this woman won’t let him treat her badly, she lays down the law and he is desperate for a nanny so he shapes up. I love a FMC that doesn’t take any crap from a grumpy hero and I love a MMC who respects her for it and changes his tune. she’s honestly the main reason why i’m giving this 3.5 stars because if it were any other fmc this would probably be a 2 star 🫣 i will say all the horny inner monologue pissed me offff, like hello this man is 38 why is he acting like a 14 yr old boy who has never seen a pair of tits before…. Cade Eaton is in need of a nanny for his son, Luke, while he works on/runs the family farm all summer. He can’t find anyone so Summer has her best friend, Willa come to town and work the job for the summer. Cade is not excited about this. Willa is young, thirteen years younger than his 38 and does she even have experience with kids? Since Summer vouches for her, he gives her a chance but he is unsure.

Willa might be a bit of a psycho—after all, she did just push a child into the pool—but the more time I spend with her, the more I feel like she’s my psycho. And don’t get me started on Willa in general.. SHE’S JUST SO FREAKING AMAZING!! I’m absolutely in love with her!! She’s just such a fun and incredible woman and I would get on my goddamn knees for her!! She’s one of the best FMCs (of the romance genre) everrr istg!! What are you doing?” I grumble as I wipe at my watery eyes, no doubt smudged with mascara. “Taking care of you.” idk about yall but him taking off her makeup was my last straw give me an age-gap, single parent, grumpy-sunshine, small-town romance with an adorable 5 yr old kid and my heart is wide open if you're looking for a fun and fast series, i can't recommend the chestnut springs series enough! all of the books are on kindle unlimited, and it takes place in canada, for any fellow canadian readers 🇨🇦 i am so excited to read book #3 and #4!

He's gruff, a little rough around the edges, and it turns out broad-shouldered ranchers with filthy mouths are this city girl's kryptonite. So who am I to resist? There's a twist closer to the end. I'm not giving anything away, but it was the right move. The right way to go. Like I said, Elsie has her magic. i don’t typically like kids in books but this was an exception! i loved the relationship btwn cade and his son and the growing bond btwn willa & cade’s son. it was pretty wholesome and would def recommend this book for anyone looking for something w no thinking required 😌 I knew I'd fall for Cade, but I wasn't expecting to fall to my knees and ask Elsie where in Alberta I can find a guy like this.Suddenly I'm not measuring time. I'm measuring inches, because her hand is mere inches away from feeling just how much I don't dislike her. Not even one bit." Side note: I've always thought of hay as something itchy. I solemnly swear never to look at hay bales the same way. Ever. You'll always have a place here. A home here. I'll make you coffee every morning. I'll leave you all the Post-its you want. I'll cook your dinner every night. I'll eat your pussy in the hot tub before bed every damn night." Add to that the fact that Luke is completely enamored with his nanny, and she's fully in love with him, and you have a pressure cooker ready to blow. Something's gotta give. Willa might be a bit of psycho—after all, she did just push a child into the pool—but the more time I spend with her, the more I feel like she’s my psycho."

The ending ended with a very cute little surprise 🥺 there was a little drama in the end but it wasn't stretched for chapters and chapters and everything was perfect. I'm so happy for Cade, Willa and their sweet wholesome adorable family. I feel truly privileged. You guys are NOT READY for this. It's a full on five stars. This book does not have a single flaw so I will keep it plain and simple. The beginning of this book was him being grumbly, and her being fun, but both of them being hot for each other and fighting it. Pretty standard for this trope. They dance around each other, he resists because he’s too old for her, she’s his nanny etc etc. until he stops resisting and then hoo doggie, things got really hot down at the ranch. I love it when a taciturn grouch turns into a dirty talking boss in the bedroom. And Cade had a filthy mouth and bossy ways. 🥵 Luke (Cade’s son) and Willa’s chemistry with one another was also so freaking adorable!! Like you can tell how amazingly they get along and seeing Cade watching these two together made my heart melt!! There were so many cute and adorable moments between these three that I was dying with the amount fluff that got thrown at me!! Do you know what's the dangerous combination in this world?? Its Cade Eaton's dirty mouth and Willa Grant's sassy mouth!!!i am officially obsessed with this series and the eaton boys! heartless was even better than flawless, especially after reading the nanny last week, which has such a similar concept. it had some of my favourite tropes, without being cringy, and i love chestnut springs as the setting for this whole series! There are two ways of being heartless. No, it isn't always a bad thing, because there's a right way. Cade's way. He'd only ever be heartless because he simply doesn't own his heart anymore. It belongs to her. It all belongs to her. Cade and Willa’s banter had me smiling like a fool. They had the perfect grumpy-sunshine dynamic where it was way too easy for Willa to rile Cade up. Their text exchanges were some of my favorite moments. Working as a nanny for the world's grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I can't keep my eyes off him. And he can't keep his hands off of me.

at him. His chiseled, masculine features are a welcome sight. “You paying attention right now, Red? Because I’ve spent days thinking hard about my life, and I’ve got some With a deep sigh, he starts, “Thank you. Thank you for being the first person in my life to put me first, to give me options. I’m not sure I deserve that gift, but I know that I’ll never forget it for as long as I live.” A reason for me to smile again. A person to talk to after so many years of silence. A love I've never known." I arch a brow at him as goose bumps break out over my body. The air between us sizzles. “Excuse me?”I had SWORN to myself I would never read a nanny-single dad romance because I was a nanny for years. Spent the entire week washing my mouth with soap. It was 1 am in the morning and I was sweating. Sweat drops running down my spine and my forehead from how legitimately stressed and turned on I was. can I blame assaulting a seven-year-old on my hair color? I’ve always flown off the handle kind of easily These characters were relatable, so down-to-earth, so unbelievably human. Reading about Cade Eaton is like looking in the mirror. so skip the first book and read this because the first one is shit <3 I hope this shitshow motivates you to level it up your tbr <3 laughs tears and screams are guaranteed :)
