Also, the battery compartment cover is not captive, nor is the small Phillips screw that secures the cover. I am so happy with the set up that suits my needs perfectly I have obtained a second 1002B with the intention of slaving them together by connecting the busses together, why not just get a bigger mixer I hear you ask? I have definitely seen the mixer and would have wanted to post the pic myself but dont know if I can post pics here.

In combination with the possible phantom powering, channel 1 and 2 provide an optimal platform for high-resolution condenser microphones. I changed my mind and won't be using DRV134 line drivers, but instead something that will allow me to adjust output levels and ends up being easier to mount. The biggest question is if I need to add another power supply or if the built in power supply can handle the additional juice. Wish I could easily color-code the sliders (it's in a room that gets used by a lot of different people) but that's hardly a deal-breaker.Detent on pots/knobs was a quality move, and the gain needed for most mics was nice n strong, with a really low-noise ratio. I may some day swap out the lead acid cells for LiFePO4 since the chemistry and power to weight ratio seems to pretty outstanding. For a proper direct out, it would need to be buffered, to prevent any anomalies or weirdness affecting the mix buss, at which point, it might as well be balanced.

To their credit, the design is a big departure from the Peavy RQ200 inside, even though they look suspiciously similar on the outside. You may not use the Image in any way that might prejudice the reputation of Music Tribe, or the distinctiveness, validity or goodwill of any of its brands. I'm also fighting the urge to do something more extravagant, as the simpler I keep it, the more likely I am to finish the project in time.Likewise, radio and TV reporters especially like the Xenyx 1002B for its ease-of-use, remarkable fidelity and rugged reliability. These state-of-the-art mic pres represent a major step in the evolution of audio technology – and they can easily hold their own, even when compared to the most expensive stand-alone mic preamps. A gazillion uses for this type of mixer, especially with the quality channel faders and EQ,stereo channel in,etc. This mixer has a total of 10 inputs with 2x mono mic channels and 4 stereo input channels, all mixing down via 2 mix buses. Now I have made a number of the 'OPA-Alice' studio condenser mic's, and I enjoyed doing that, but my current problem is I have a "Behringer 2001B" mixing desk, its a cute little thing, it works well for what it is and I like it, but it has problems with one channel and I need to 'UP' the Phantom power from its 18-20Volts to a bit higher, I am a retired electronics engineer so I'm well happy to do any work myself BUT I need some technical information on it, PLEASE does anyone have a diagram for the 1002B mixer?

PS:- do you know the max size of attachment I can send, the piano file is about 10-12Mg and you may find it entertaining to see. Purchasing a XENYX version when we needed another small analog mixer seemed a no-brainer, but we were concerned the upgrade had "un-graded" all we liked about it. Again, I played some noise into Pro Tools and opened up an RTA, and found that the signal was pretty much flat. The compact XENYX 1002B mixer also features our highly musical 3-band British EQ, plus an FX and monitor send for each channel, making it a must-have for any audio toolkit. I assume the the send must have some kind of amp since it outputs (at least consumer) line level and is pre-fade.
