I think of a scene from a movie where a lady sings a sultry jazz tune in front of a grand piano in a long fancy dress. The soap is truly like a cheap soap, there's no fruitiness, no peach no almond in there, no sourness like some said. Also many here said it'd be similar to Trésor, there's no peach, no lily of the valley type of vibe, no fruitiness, so I wouldn't even listen to these reviews, completely out of touch. So out of the two I got I loved rubies, I figured I would like emeralds more but nope rubies smells like a nice creamy peach, faint spice and I don't detect rose like listed.

The heart seduces with juicy and sweet jasmine, orchid, heliotrope and rose touched by the spices, along with passionate ylang-ylang and lily-of-the-valley. The scent profile is that of many 80s perfumes if that makes sense, velvety, creamy, projecting and long lasting. She puts on her favorite lingerie, the last puff of cinnamon scented talc, red velvet fatty lipstick.

Diamonds and Rubies is a beautiful fragrance that was created by the famous perfumer Sophia Grojsman and is expertly blended. However, I see why others like it so much, it's a beautiful creation for those who like this type of spicyness, like in Sun, MOon, Stars for example which is again a big no for me because of the same clove-y notes in it. For a lovely day you'd start with Violet Eyes in the morning, Diamonds and Rubies in the afternoon, White Diamonds in the early evening, and White Diamonds En Rouge as you move into the night. I find it odd that it says on here first for main accords 'warm spicy' because for me it's predominantly floral. I'm never sure when a scent is marketed as an amber floral what it means, but this one offers a little something to everyone.

It is rounded, doesn’t screech, the Rose is not mega rosey or old at all, on my jumper there is a touch more clean spice. If you are living in an area where this has not really become a big hit, by all means - claim this one as your own! Despite the long list of notes, I don't get much of anything more than perhaps vanilla in this scent.Where the sweetness in Tentations is that of peaches preserved in alcohol, the sweetness here is more of a peach and rose jam. Not the biggest fan of the smell but I don't hate it either - I'm just not sure where to place this in my wardrobe - but my cat seems to be soothed by this scent and becomes extra amenable to pets. It starts off quite strong with plenty of projection filling the air, and it wears off over the next few hours, but you can still catch whiffs of it off your skin during the next four hours without needing to bring your elbow to your nose. When I put this on for the first time I was playing Victor Young's Theme From A Place In The Sun which was the film Liz Taylor did with Montgomery Clift. The first spritz is so strong, harsh, but after 30 minutes it settles down, and I really love the powdery note, it is like powdery peaches and roses, like the powder that women wore when I was 16 (a long time ago).

It has to be the pepper interacting with either another note or my skin chemistry, but it takes a good 15 minutes for that menthol/eucalyptus note to go away. Amongst the more mature fragrances white diamonds I think is one of the best though I don't wear it much myself.Though I am generally not a fan of designer scents, however the ET ones stand out as one of the better.
