Directed by the Wachowskis, it follows lesbian ex-con Corky (Gershon) who becomes a handyman at a local apartment building. The illicit nature of many of the things that happen in The Handmaiden lends a sense of excitement and intimacy to it that’s rare and difficult to achieve in cinema but works so perfectly here. Her face completely free from any makeup revealed her classical beauty in all its simplicity, her small nose, and her full pink lips that begged to be kissed again.
